Sometimes a little surprise at work can really spice up the monotony, and one Pennsylvania HVAC employee got more than he could have ever wished for. Aldrige_Lazuras on r/mildyinteresting shared quite the intriguing find in his company’s latest shipment: “a box of non-lethal weapons and ammo.” In a box that his workplace accidentally received, OP found flash bangs, non-lethal shotgun rounds, handcuffs, and much more.
“We were expecting filters and fittings,” Aldrige laughed, clearly not expecting the package of tactical goodies. He claimed that this sort of mix-up has actually happened before whenever a shipping pallet gets broken down and the shipper restacks without double-checking. In this case, Aldrige believes another company’s skid ran into an issue, causing their weapons and ammo to fall into their shipment, but the shipper was none the wiser.
Many Redditors Were Jealous of the HVAC Worker’s Discovery
Funnily enough, plenty of Redditors were quite jealous of OP’s luck for something so interesting to happen at work. “All I ever get in the mail at work is more work,” sighed a commenter, with over half a thousand people upvoting in agreement. “Looks like your breakroom is gonna be lit!” exclaimed another. “Epic loot crate my god,” remarked a third.
On the flip side, there were quite a few people who cautioned Aldrige about how deadly this “non-lethal” weaponry could be. “The breaching rounds are in fact very, very lethal,” warned a Redditor. “Concerning how haphazardly packaged that looks,” added another. Among the commenters were several accusing OP of committing a federal felony.
That being said, Aldrige didn’t clarify where the shipment was supposed to go, nor did he say what his company plans to do with the ammo and weaponry. Of course, it’s unlikely any of the HVAC workers could take anything home with them, non-lethal or not. It definitely made Aldrige’s day, though, and he more than seemed to want to take some of it home. “Checks manifest, nah I think we got the right stuff,” he chuckled.
