A Florida mom wasn’t about to go quietly when her daughter received a shocking surprise in her Dunkin order. When she received literal gloves in her order, this mom marched right into the Dunkin to confront the worker about it.
Lesly (@mommaleslyandco) says her daughter stopped at Dunkin for an order of Snackin’ Bacon after a long day of college classes. Her daughter opened her bag of food to find the bacon completely burnt, and the worker left actual disposable gloves in the bag. Seeing her daughter upset, Lesly decided to take matters into her own hands. She marched into the Dunkin to confront the worker at the counter.
Lesly tells the worker at the counter, “My daughter ordered Snackin’ Bacon, and this is what she got.” She pours the food onto the counter so they can see the burnt pieces of bacon and the gloves. Lesly tells them that this order is “garbage” as she points to what her daughter was left with.
As Lesly explains that this is unacceptable, the worker nonchalantly says, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to put that in there.” She offers to make Lesly a new order, but Lesly just states, “I don’t want a new one. I want to know the reasoning for this.” The worker shrugs and tells her it was a simple “accident.” But Lesly says that it’s a weird accident to burn the bacon and leave gloves inside the order without noticing.
The worker apologizes again but doesn’t seem to want to help any further. She tells Lesly the manager isn’t there but offers Lesly his number. Lesly says, “Customers should be able to order food without worrying about whether it is being handled safely.”
The video immediately sparked reactions from concerned customers, agreeing that this was poor service from Dunkin. One commenter pointed out, “You guys saying the cashier said sorry? She really did not seem to gaf. That is 100% intentional. How do you manage to give someone a bag filled with gloves?” Another commenter shared that this same thing happened to them. They claim, “Taco Bell did this to my son. They put a freaking mop in the bag and thought it was funny.”
Others, however, disagreed with Lesly and believe she went too far with her confrontation. One commenter stated, “Easily an accident. Could have been rushing. Not everything needs to be recorded and posted.”
Another pointed out, “2 wrongs don’t make a right. Throwing the bacon on the counter and coming at her with an attitude when she might not have even been the person to do that like just talk to a manager!” Commenters continue to share their reactions on Lesly’s video as it gains popularity.
