After what was probably a long and entertaining night in the streets of Corona, New York, a couple of men, still conscious, had an issue to deal with: one of their friends wasn’t. Fortunately for them, they had a clever solution in the form of a colored rug.

The video was shared online by TikToker Jamie, whose username is jaybaybae21. Her past content includes travel vlogs, trends, and even concert clips. The video in question, which was not filmed by her but by a man, potentially her partner, went viral in a little over two days. It garnered 2.1 million views, 178,500 likes, and more than 3,800 comments.

The New York man behind the camera began recording two individuals wearing caps and hoodies. They were dragging a light blue rug with a very distinct pattern through the street. Looking out for any oncoming vehicles, the fellows walked across the Zebra crossing.

The man recording the bizarre sight, although he hadn’t initially seen what the men were dragging, knew exactly what they were doing as he saw a foot. Thanks to the rug, the men were able to drag one of their friends, potentially passed out after a night of partying.

This theory was correct, as the vlogger, sitting on the passenger seat of a truck, was able to see the unconscious man completely, lying on the rug. Seeing the situation as hilarious, he asked one of the men, “Is he alive, primo?” Both of them laughed, fully aware of how the dragging looked.

The whole scene had “That’s What Friends Are For” as its picked soundtrack, which seemed very appropriate.

Reactions

Viewers found the selfless act of friendship hilarious. One said, “They’re bringing him to work.” Another one commented, “Mind you, also count the friend who lent the living room rug.” A third one added, “They’re taking him home to his wife to deal with all that.”

Others, while still lightheartedly, emphasized the unconscious state of the rug man and believed he was gone for good. One asked, “Are we witnesses to something?” Another one wrote, “Dragging a body in broad daylight.”

Hopefully, the unconscious man arrived safely at his home. By the looks of it, he has wonderful friends.
