A Florida man claims Homeland Security Investigations agents showed up at his home over tweets he made criticizing ICE, President Trump, and the government. The man, who shared the encounter on X under the handle @historyoarmani2, said in his post that “Homeland Security just came to my house over tweets I made months ago.”
He also claimed that “like 10 agents” arrived in “7 SVUS” because “I used my First Amendment right” to speak out against ICE, Trump, and what he called “this fascist regime.”
The man also recorded the encounter and shared the video online. In the recording, an agent identifies himself as being with Homeland Security Investigations and says the agents came to speak with the man about “some online threats you’ve made against ICE.”
The man immediately tells the agents to leave his property. He repeatedly tells them to leave his property and questions why they came to his home. The agents continue trying to explain the reason for the visit, with one telling him that threats against ICE can be investigated.
The man continues to refuse to speak with them. He calls the agents slurs and questions whether investigating his online posts is part of their job.
Later in the recording, a woman comes out of the house and asks the agents to explain what is happening. Meanwhile, the man argues that the posts were not threats and says he has a First Amendment right to express himself online. He says, “I don’t have to let you talk, and I don’t have to listen to it.” He also says he is a U.S. citizen who was “born and raised here” and insists, “I can say whatever I want online.”
The man says the tweets were made several months earlier. At one point, he says they were made “three months ago.” He also argues that if the posts had been genuine threats against someone’s life, he would have been arrested by local police.
He then questions the number of vehicles at his home. While his X post claims that seven SUVs and about 10 agents arrived, the video shows him pointing out what he describes as “four vehicles and a police” vehicle, followed by another vehicle that he says is nearby. He calls the response a waste of taxpayer money and questions why agents are investigating his tweets instead of focusing on people committing other crimes.

Reaction to the video was mixed. One commenter wrote, “I hope they lock you up and throw away the key,” while another warned, “Keep talking and see what happens.” A third argued, “First amendment is free but not from consequences. All that big talk, they would squash this dude!”
Others focused on the nature of the visit itself. One commenter wrote, “Your friendly stalker and six other guys in jeans and sneakers want to talk to you unannounced, about your private tweets, on your private property.” Another commented, “This is the only way to talk to these rats,” while a final comment took aim at funding, saying, “The problem is our tax dollars paying these VERY unqualified people $120k a year.”
In a follow-up post in the comments, the Florida man said he would not be “intimidated by these goons.” He also criticized the Trump administration and federal officials.
