A woman was taking photographs of herself outside a popular New York restaurant when she was approached by a woman. The woman tried to tell her that she wasn’t supposed to take photos and angrily berated her. But this girl just trying to enjoy her time wasn’t going to let a Karen ruin her day.
Bei (@baddiebei) said she was “politely taking photos” in front of the Little Owl restaurant in NYC. She said a “Karen” came up to her and started shaming her. She was attempting to get cute photos of herself in front of the building. In the video, the woman asks Bei, “Do you live in this building?” Bei ignores her and continues posing for cute photos, smiling away. The woman tells her she’s being “obnoxious.”
But things get even worse from there. The woman asks Bei, “Why don’t you just take your clothes off at the same time? We HATE it.” As Bei is shaking her head at the woman’s audacity, she says they “hate” that tourists do this. She says they put their photos online and “then people come and rob us.”
The Influencer Was Unbothered
Bei wasn’t about to let this woman ruin her spark, though. In an update post, she shows the photos she took of herself in front of the building. She also shows a moment where she burst out laughing at the angry New Yorker. When she started laughing, the woman said to her, “Oh, it’s so funny!” She was clearly extremely irritated by this woman’s whimsical and fun day in NYC.
Commenters immediately shared their reactions to the ridiculous moment on Bei’s video. One simply stated what so many were thinking: “People are so miserable.” Another shared their personal story, “I was taking a photo of some Oreo muffins and this lady told her daughter after passing me ‘I hate influencers, like it’s not a real job.’”
