A Texas Airbnb owner was left shocked after her guests allegedly stole almost everything from inside the house they had rented.
The owner shared a video with “POV: Ur bnb guest wipe you clean” written across the top. She then showed before-and-after images of what allegedly happened to her home. The first image showed a furnished bedroom, while the second showed the room nearly empty, with the mattress and other belongings gone. The bed frame was left behind.
More before-and-after images followed, showing additional items that were allegedly stolen by the guests during their stay. The kitchen had also been emptied, with many of its contents missing. Along with the video, the owner shared a comment about the guest, writing, “Girlllll ME EITHER her stay was OVER & she legally had to go… apparently my [expletive] had to go too.”
The owner shared another video showing the female guest outside the house. The footage showed the woman standing in front of a security camera and looking directly at it before saying, “cheese,” and attempting to cover it. However, part of the camera remained uncovered, allowing it to capture the woman dragging a box outside the Airbnb. She then covered the camera after noticing it was still recording and said, “oh no you could see us.”
A third video showed the guest removing the covering from the camera before speaking in Spanish. Some viewers claimed that her comments included insults directed at the owner. One person alleged that the woman said, “Good bye friend, maggot [expletive] lol.”
At the end of the video, a man accompanying the woman approached the camera and covered it again. “Hi. Bye,” he said before walking away. It remains unclear whether the two were later arrested or whether the owner reported the alleged theft to police.

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers were shocked after seeing the videos shared by the Texas Airbnb owner. Some could not believe that guests would allegedly take so many items from a rented home. “This is insane,” one person wrote. Another person said, “I ain’t never seen nothing like this.”
More people expressed shock over what happened while sympathizing with the owner. “Omg! As a Airbnb superhost I am so sorry this happened to you! I’ll be so mad and hurt. Good thing is Airbnb got insurance and help us with stuff like this. I had a guest cause $4,000 worth of plumbing damage and Airbnb paid me out in full after I sent documents and invoices,” one person wrote. Another person said, “Credit wouldve been in the single digits the way I wouldve been runnin that card on file.”
Ultimately, the footage highlighted one of the risks that can come with opening a property to strangers. While most Airbnb stays presumably end without incident, the owner’s experience shows just how quickly things can go wrong when a guest allegedly crosses the line from simply making a mess to walking away with someone else’s belongings.
