People in a hurry can behave in some outlandish ways, and on the road, such individuals might even perceive themselves as entitled to the right of way, everywhere. Reddit user Meeegancomeback might have encountered such a driver while making his way through Dallas traffic on a highway in Texas. The irony here is that he was listening to Pocketful of Sunshine while the Tesla driver he encountered was anything but.
In his post on r/dashcams, Meeegancomeback shared rear window footage of the Tesla first cutting off a white Mercedes just to go slowly like everyone else in the merge lane. As Meeegancomeback eventually merges into the traffic, the Tesla driver cuts off two vehicles, this time with some erratic swerving across the lanes. It’s clear the Tesla barely rear-ended OP’scar twice, giving him quite the panic.
Redditors in the comments couldn’t believe what they saw, and plenty immediately critiqued the wild Tesla owner’s behavior. “Psychopath,” wrote a commenter, and over three hundred people agreed. “That’s one of the more egregious clips I’ve seen in a while,” exclaimed another.
“I hope someone called the police to report it,” remarked a third user. Others chimed in, supporting the movement to ban these sorts of drivers from the roads. “Nazi-mobile drivers are the new BMW drivers,” wrote a fourth Redditor.
OP’s Front Dashcam Footage Revealed Someone in Front Was Slowing Him Down
A few were less critical of the Tesla driver and instead turned their frustration with Meeegancomeback, believing OP was the one at fault. “OP is clearly being a jerk here, going way too slow on the on-ramp,” accused one user. To this, Meeegancomeback responded, showing the dashcam footage of the front of his car, revealing that there was indeed a slow-moving car in front of him.
In the end, OP did admit to not being considerate of the white semitruck, as there wasn’t a need to move over lanes in front of a larger vehicle. Still, he argued that he couldn’t help but want to get away from the wild Tesla driver, who almost hit him again even after his attempt to flee.
