An Ohio man received praise from some viewers after interrupting a Trump rally in the state and calling the president a liar.
Trump held a rally in Vandalia, Ohio, on October 3 as part of his campaign efforts ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The event supported Republican candidates in key Ohio races, including U.S. Sen. Jon Husted, who is running against former Sen. Sherrod Brown, and gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Trump used the rally to encourage Republican support and discuss issues including the economy, data centers, and the upcoming elections.
During the rally, a man in the crowd interrupted the event to express his opposition to the president. He later shared a video online that began with him getting up from his seat and moving closer to where Trump was standing.
“LIAR,” the man repeatedly yelled as he filmed Trump and the crowd. Once people in the crowd realized what he was saying, they began booing him loudly. He then made more serious accusations, saying, “Rapist. You rapist.” The crowd continued booing as people looked toward him.
Trump has denied allegations of sexual misconduct. In 2023, a federal civil jury found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming writer E. Jean Carroll. However, the jury did not find that Carroll proved rape under the specific New York statutory definition presented in that case. The verdict was later upheld on appeal.
A security officer then approached the man and began escorting him out of the rally as he repeated the word “rapist” once more. As they removed him, he could be heard saying, “freedom of speech.” By the end of the video, the crowd could be heard cheering as they escorted the man out.
After sharing the video online, the man wrote in the caption, “I finally called him out.” When one commenter asked whether the incident was real, he responded by providing more details. “Well, considering I got carried out by the Secret Service and then trespassed by like 10 police officers, I would say, yes, it is real. Lol,” he wrote.
The man later shared another video that was recorded before he was removed from the rally. He claimed that Secret Service agents were moving people down to fill more seats. “I guess they didn’t get filled up enough for the president so they are making us move.” However, his claim that few people attended the rally could not be independently confirmed.
Viewers Praise Ohio Man After Interrupting Trump Rally
Many viewers praised the Ohio man after seeing his video, with some describing him as brave for interrupting the rally. “You are an American hero,” one person wrote. Another said, “Big fan of your work.” Someone else called the man a “patriot.”
More people praised the man for interrupting the rally, with one person writing, “Actually, you were the most ‘SANE’ person there my friend …. Way to go!!” Others expressed disappointment over the size of the crowd at the rally. “why are there so many people there as a fellow ohioan, that part truly depresses me. Your performance, however, was incredible!” another person wrote.
The video prompted discussion about how people who oppose Trump may choose to express their views at his rallies. It also led viewers to debate whether removing the man from the event was an appropriate response to his actions.
