A Florida couple grew frustrated after security guards refused to let them into a gated community when they couldn’t produce identification. The family had an access code, but the guards said community rules also required visitors to show an ID or passport before entering.
Zoe (@mkzoe26) is a security guard for a gated community. Recently, a Florida couple were on vacation visiting somebody in that community. They scanned their code to gain access but couldn’t present an ID or passport. Zoe refused to let the family through, saying the community’s rules required visitors to present an ID or passport. The wife states, “Yeah, well, we’re sitting here until you let us in.”
Zoe’s co-worker tells them they’ll have to make a U-turn because they’re not permitted through the gates. The husband lets out a frustrated, “Come on, man!” They keep telling him he needs to present his ID or passport. He says his ID is in a pants pocket in the back of the car, among the items they packed. They demand to know if Zoe and her co-worker actually attempted to scan him in, and she says they did. But she tells him that, without ID, they can’t let him through.

The husband demands, “Who do we need to call? The people that are in charge of the rental company?” However, Zoe had enough of his confrontation. She closes the window as he continues arguing with the guards about being allowed inside. You can see them sitting outside the window, frustrated and yelling about it. Zoe’s coworker says, “They can stay there all day” but maintains that they cannot allow the couple through without identification.
The video immediately sparked comments and opinions after Zoe’s posting. One commenter stated, “They hate when they’re told no.” Another pointed out, “So, they ain’t even supposed to be driving if they don’t have their license.” One commenter asked, “Wait, so all they had to do was get their driver’s license out of the trunk and they couldn’t do that?!” As the video gains popularity, commenters continue to share their opinions about how the situation was handled and their irritation with the couple.
