A Florida man was called shameless after he was filmed taking all the Halloween candy from a house while accompanied by his daughters. The homeowner shared footage captured by their front door camera showing the man taking the Halloween candy. The post was titled, “This is we can’t have nice things you greedy ones.” The video showed the man approaching the candy bowl with his two young daughters.
In the video, the man repeatedly grabbed handfuls of candy and placed them inside a bag he was carrying. Rather than taking a few pieces for his daughters, he emptied the entire bowl. One of his daughters began imitating him, using both hands to grab candy and put it in the bag as he held it open for her.
After emptying the bowl, the man started walking away from the house. However, he turned around when he realized his younger daughter had not followed him. He picked her up and began leaving with his other daughter. Just before walking away, he noticed one piece of candy was still left in the bowl and reached back to take that as well.
The homeowner also called out the man in the post, writing, “Whoever’s man or baby daddy this is really needs to learn better. You’ve got a lot of [expletive] looking my doorbell camera square in its artificial eye, and taking an entire 9 pounds of candy and almost leaving your kid behind on my damn doorstep,” they wrote.
They added that the man was the third person to visit their house that night. The family had left the candy outside based on a trust system so children in the neighborhood could enjoy trick-or-treating without missing out. However, the homeowner believed the man was not from the area, writing, “I know you’re not from our neighborhood because let’s just say I know who’s from my neighborhood.”
At the end of the post, the homeowner expressed frustration over the incident and said they would no longer leave candy outside for trick-or-treaters in the coming years. “Do better and teach your kids to do better because no one will be getting candy for the remaining years that I’m out with my little ones because of your greedy [expletive]. Trashy human. Took damn near every last piece. Smh,” they wrote.
