With the holiday season upon us, many players want a cozy game to play while they curl up at home, and HoYoverse is about to deliver just that. While we all knew about Petit Planet, the next galactic adventure that will move away from flashy combat and focus more on relaxing exploration, decoration, and building friendships with colorful characters, we didn’t have a release date until now. The latest Special Program for Petit Planet just confirmed that it is launching next month, and it is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later.

Petit Planet Launches on December 4 With a Nintendo Switch 2 Release in 2027

🌱Petit Planet🌱 Pre-Launch Special Program

In case you missed it, HoYoverse hosted a Special Program for Petit Planet, which, beyond showing many of the game’s features, also confirmed its release date for December 4. Furthermore, we got confirmation that this new title is also coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. There isn’t an exact release date yet, but it is great to see we’ll be able to play this on a handheld platform next year.

Regarding features, we got to see some of the introductory experience to the game, a few glimpses at the character creator, and how you’ll be arriving at your new galactic home. We also saw some extended systems, such as farming, terraforming, decorating, and many more features that are coming at launch.

Also, for the avid decorators out there, Petit Planet‘s system is among the best we’ve seen, with some neat additions, such as moving several pieces of furniture at once, different types of placement for indoor and outdoor decorations, and a lot of furniture sets, which are great for those looking to start their home with one specific style in mind.

And if you’re all about customizing your character, we also got to see several clothing options, all of them belonging to different styles that should fit your daily activities on your planet. And last but not least, we also got to meet some of the neighbors that will be with us during this cozy journey—some familiar from previous betas and trailers, and a couple of new ones.
