The video circulated on X and centered on Britt’s argument about biological sex. She said age provides a comparison because minors cannot simply identify as older to gain legal rights.
Britt pointed to teenagers who cannot vote merely because they feel old enough. “We don’t let 16 and 17 year olds decide that they’re 21,” she said. She also referenced a 14-year-old claiming to feel 18.
She then questioned why society allows what she called “untruths” about sex. “It’s not a state of mind, this is about biology,” Britt said. She argued that policy should move forward from that position.

“Why do yall spend so much time on the trans scare tactic? People can’t afford gas, food and healthcare,” one user wrote. Another focused on everyday expenses: “We care about gas prices, grocery prices, heating bills, the environment, etc.”
A separate response framed the dispute as one of priorities. “Major on minor issues. 1% Transgender issue vs 100% high prices for EVERYTHING.” Another asked, “Why can’t you work on lowering the cost of groceries, utilities, gas and housing.”
Other users backed Britt’s position. “Wholeheartedly agree, Senator. But why do we call a lie an untruth? Why sugarcoat it?” one wrote. Another stated, “Everything she has said is just common sense.”
