Finding the location of every cave in Sons of the Forest is the best way to progress through the story. Not only do you find useful items in caves that you would struggle without, but you even find the final boss within a cave. Caves can act as great locations to hide out after you’ve cleared them, and fantastic places to farm the heck out of some cannibals. However, finding the location of each important cave in Sons of the Forest can prove to be much more difficult than simply checking out the map to see where the cave icons are.

All Bunker Locations in Sons of the Forest

Food and Dining Bunker

Let’s start out with the Food Bunker. The Food Bunker can be found in the Northeastern portion of the map, near the first couple of caves. The Food and Dining Bunker takes you into an area that looks like it used to be a mall. There are a couple of things you can find here, including the VIP Keycard, Food, a Crossbow, and even a dress for Virginia.

The next Bunker is the Residential Bunker. Within the Residential Bunker you can find a new outfit, the spacesuit, a flashlight attachment for a weapon, and a Katana.

Coastal Rebreather Cave

The first cave we’ll explore is the Coastal Cave, or the Rebreather Cave. Whichever you choose to call it, it’s still the same cave. You can pick up loads of notable loot within the cave, including:

  • Rebreather
  • Stun Gun
  • Outfits
  • Ammo
  • Explosives
  • Medicine

Next we have the Lakeside Cave, or the Rope Gun Cave. Within the Rope Gun Cave, you’ll find quite a few more enemies than you encountered within the previous cave, but slaying them is well worth the effort for the loot involved:

  • Rope Gun
  • Cross
  • Ammo
  • Explosives
  • Medicine
  • Stun Baton
Shovel Cave

The next cave, which requires the items from the previous two caves, is the Flooded Cave, or the Shovel Cave. The Shovel Cave is mostly underwater, so you won’t be able to get inside without the Rebreather, and accessing the majority of the cave requires you to have the Rope Gun on-hand. Here, you can pick up:

  • Shovel
  • Wet Suit
  • Flashlight Attachment
  • Ammo
  • Explosives
  • Slingshot

  • Rifle
  • Ammo
  • Medicine
Final Cave

The final cave we’re going to talk about in Sons of the Forest is the Ice Cave, or the Golden Armor Cave. While this wasn’t always the location of the Golden Armor, it is now, and it’s quite a pain to get to. Before you head inside, be prepared to be hit with an onslaught of mutant enemies and prepare to get your butt handed to you just a bit. Through the Ice Cave, you will be able to complete the story content available in Sons of the Forest.
