The Genshin Impact Version 4.0 patch cycle has been a legendary event in the history of the Gacha game so far, bringing with it some interesting mechanics that shake up the usual player experience. Between an epic new story, amazingly designed characters, and a super fun region, HoYoverse hasn’t missed yet with any of the first three patches. Despite this, arguably the most legendary introduction of this major patch cycle is the idea of Local Legends. These challenging bosses are added every patch and offer a bit more difficulty than most players are used to. For anyone who wants to take these legends on, here’s a guide on where to find each of the Genshin Impact Local Legends.
The Iron Viscount
The Iron Viscount is located beneath the surface, hidden in a cave after completing the boiling water puzzles of Genshin Impact 4.0. To beat this boss, players will want to parry the crab’s attacks using the Xenochromatic Armored Crab ability.
Vivanne of the Lake
Next, Vivianne of the Lake is located right around the waypoint north of the Court of Fontaine, completely on land. This Hydro boss presents more of a straight fight, with no gimmicks, so bring your best, non-Hydro team.
Ninianne of the Lake
Ninianne of the Lake, a similar monster to Vivianne of the Lake, is found northern part of the Beryl Region, just outside of the water. Fighting this is a similar, honest fight, so bringing a strong team is a must.
Dobharcu, Lord of the Hidden
Dobharcu, Lord of the Hidden, a large seal monster, is located just under the water, near Ninianne of the lake. This large, yet adorable boss will turn invisible, meaning players will need to use the Xenochromatic Blubberbeast ability in order to find it.
The Swords of the Gorge
The Genshin Impact Local Legend, Swords of the Gorge, consists of two Hunter’s Ray creatures that can be found in the ocean near the Thalatta Submarine Canyon. Defeating these monstrous Hunter’s Rays will require players to attack the tie between the two creatures using the Xenochromatic Hunter’s Ray ability.
The Fairy Knight Twins
The Fairy Knight Twins are basically a carbon copy of the Swords of the Gorge, located south of the Solacia Plain. Once again, players will need to use the Xenochromatic Hunter’s Ray ability to sever the bond between the aquatic beasts.
The Fading Veteran
Deep in the Elton Trenches of the Fontaine region, players should find the Genshin Impact Local Legend, Fading Veteran. Once again, this is a Blubberbeast-type legend, like Dobharcu, meaning players will need to play some hide-and-seek with the Xenochromatic Blubberbeast’s sonar.
The Ocean Circuit Judge
For another crab Local Legend, we have the Ocean Circuit Judge. Located a good deal south of the Court of Fontaine, this monster can once again be defeated using the parry ability of the Xenochromatic Armored Crab, to redirect its projectiles.
Yseut The Cold Hand
Moving on to Genshin Impact 4.1 Local Legends, we have Yseut, who is located to the left of the Liffey Statue of Seven. Like a few other bosses so far, this fight is more honest than others, though players can juggle Yseut if they link attacked properly.
Luachra the Brilliant
Moving back to some undersea creatures, we have the Genshin Impact Local Legend, Luachra the Brilliant. This seahorse creature is located to the northwest of the Millenial Pearl Seahorse. Players can be defeat it by using the Xenochromatic Jellyfish ability while the boss is charging.
Automated Supercomputing Field Generator
For the last Local Legend of Genshin Impact 4.1, we have the Automated Supercomputing Field Generator, which is located northeast of the Central Laboratory Ruins. This robotic menace has a massive Geo Shield, so having a Geo character to break the shield is almost a must.
Rocky Avildsen
Starting off with our Genshin 4.2 Local Legends guide, we have Rocky Avildsen. Located north of the Weeping Willow of the Lake, this normal human can dish out massive damage with his attacks. Healing, Shielding, and some good dodging skills are a must here.
Liam
Next up, Liam is located to the east of the Weeping Willow of the Lake and provides a similar challenge to Rocky. However, Liam mainly uses Elemental Reactions, so if Liam hits you with more than one attack, you’re probably going down.
Mageblade Corrouge
For the first of two Genshin Impact Local Legends, we have the Mageblade Corrouge. This creature will appear at the final area in the quest Wild Fairy of Erinnyes if players return there a second time. Defeating the creature is fairly simple, and involves using the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus ability to attack its projectiles and send them right back.
Chassanion
Chassanion, the second of two Jellyfish bosses, is located in the Tower of Ipsissimus after it sinks into the ocean, or under the tower before it sinks. Once again, the fight is decently simple and only requires spamming the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus ability at the Jellyfish’s projectiles.
Deianeira of Snezhevna
Finally, the last Local Legend in theis Genshin Impact guide is Deianeira of Snezhevna. On a second visit, this boss is located in the underwater hideout featured in the quest, An Expected Plan. The boss itself can cut your healing, so make sure to dodge hits while dishing out tons of damage.
Genshin Impact is available on PlayStation, Mobile, and PC.
