How to use item IDs to spawn items

To add items to your inventory in Sons of the Forest, follow these steps:

  1. Start by opening the saved game to which you want to add items and save it again. 
  2. Then, close the game and open File Explorer. Navigate to (C:) > Users > (your name) > AppData > LocalLow > Endnight > SonsOfTheForest > Saves and select the folder with your player ID. 
  3. Choose either SinglePlayer or Multiplayer and open the newest save File. Open PlayerInventorySaveData in Notepad and go to the end of the File. 
  4. Look for the sequence of code that reads “:[]}]}}”}} and add the following code to it {“ItemId”:ItemIDHere,”TotalCount”:NumberOfItemsHere,”UniqueItems”:[]}. 
  5. Replace ItemIDHere with the item ID and NumberOfItemsHere with the number of items you want. 
  6. Save the File and reopen Sons of the Forest to apply the changes to your inventory.
