It seems every Roblox game gets pets eventually, and now Grow a Garden has them! These furry friends aren’t just for show, nor are you limited to farm animals. In fact, you can get all sorts of pets, from cats to snails. In Grow a Garden, pets are both cute and useful, providing buffs, finding seeds, and even picking crops for you, but because each one is unique, you want the best ones for your garden.
Roblox Grow a Garden Tier List: Pets Ranked Best to Worst
Here’s a quick reference if you just want to see where your pet(s) in Roblox Grow a Garden fall on the tier list:
Tier | Pets |
S | Rooster, Cow, Snail, Giant Ant, Caterpillar, Dragonfly |
A | Spotted Deer, Silver Monkey, Sea Otter, Turtle, Praying Mantis |
B | Deer, Orange Tabby, Pig, Monkey, Polar Bear |
C | Dog, Golden Lab, Chicken, Cat |
D | Bunny, Black Bunny, Panda |
S-tier pets in Roblox Grow a Garden are the best of the best, whereas D-tier pets are the worst and are more or less worthless. Even a C-tier pet has more usefulness than a D-tier pet.
- Cow (S-tier): Just a flat 10% faster crop growth is fantastic.
- Snail (S-tier): Has a chance to drop seeds when harvesting plants. Who doesn’t love getting more seeds?
- Giant Ant (S-tier): Has a 10% chance of duplicating fruit being harvested. That’s 1 in every 10 fruits!
- Caterpillar (S-tier): Leafy plants (within 15 studs) grow 1.5x faster. It’s guaranteed, making it among the best.
- Dragonfly (S-tier): Guarantees a golden fruit every 5 minutes.
- Rooster (S-tier): Better than the chicken by reducing hatching speeds by 20%.
- Spotted Deer (A-tier): Slightly better version of the Deer.
- Praying Mantis (A-tier): Like the Pig, only slightly better.
- Silver Monkey (A-tier): A better version of the Monkey.
- Sea Otter (A-tier): The Sea Otter is essentially a watering can, and since it’s a guarantee, it’s easily one of the best pets in Grow a Garden.
- Turtle (A-tier): Makes sprinklers last 20% longer, so you can get the most out of your items.
- Deer (B-tier): Berry-type fruits have a chance of not being picked, which is effectively doubling the amount of berries you can pick!
- Orange Tabby (B-tier): Like the Cat, only slightly better at 1.5x larger plants!
- Pig (B-tier): Every so often, the Pig emits an aura that doubles the chance of plants having a Variant. Really nice when your garden is full of crops.
- Monkey (B-tier): When selling fruit, there’s a chance it isn’t sold, so effectively you could duplicate fruits.
- Polar Bear (B-tier): Has a small chance of granting Chilled or Frozen mutation on a nearby crop. Not bad, not the greatest, but still useful.
- Dog (C-tier): Has a 10% chance of digging up a random seed. Not bad!
- Golden Lab (C-tier): Like Dog, but slightly better.
- Chicken (C-tier): Speeds up egg hatching speed by 10%. Sound option for cutting down on pet hatching. For a Common Egg, it would shave off an entire minute.
- Cat (C-tier): Every so often, the Cat takes a short nap; nearby plants grow 1.25x larger. Not bad for early-game as it increases the value of your crops.
- Bunny (D-tier): Every so often, the Bunny eats a carrot for 1.5x its value. Absolutely useless. You still have to plant carrots for the Bunny to eat.
- Black Bunny (D-tier): Like Bunny, but slightly better. Still doesn’t change the fast that it’s bad.
Panda (D-tier): Eats bamboo every 3 minutes, selling it at an increased value at the same time. Very annoying passive. It gets in the way of completing Hungry Plant quests.
One thing to keep in mind is that even if you don’t get the best pets in Roblox Grow a Garden, they’ll gain experience and their passives will get better. So, even a C-tier pet has the potential to be a B-tier companion!
