Split Fiction quickly became one of the best games of this year, and this year is just beginning. This is not only because of the great plot, its co-op mechanics, and gameplay but also because, in each chapter, we can visit different Sci-fi or Fantasy worlds. Even within the same chapters, we can see more worlds thanks to the Side Stories. Besides being extra missions, the Side Stories are like mini-games to compete with your friends, and as another way to learn more about Mio or Zoey. That’s why you can’t miss any of the Side Stories in Split Fiction, and to help you, we have all their locations here.
Where Are the Side Stories in Split Fiction?
In Split Fiction, there are 12 Side Stories, and their locations are in four chapters of the game. There are three quests per chapter, and once you complete all the stories, you will receive the Bookworms achievement and trophy. As a tip, try to listen to Zoey and Mio; they usually give clues if they are close to a Side Story.
Chapter 2: Neon Revenge
1. The Legend of the Sandfish
Shortly after the persecution and the fight with the cyber-cops in the Play Me Techno mission, you will find the first Side Story bubble/portal, and the cinematic about them will start.
2. Farmlife
After the boss fight with Ms Hammer and a chase during the Streets of Neon mission, you will have to use an elevator. Before entering the elevator, look around for bales of straw and vegetables.
3. Mountain Hike
You’ll get into a chase with cyber cops after the fight with the Parking Attendant until you get to the pool area in the Big City Life mission. You will pass by the bench of this chapter, and after swinging from a car, you will arrive at the portable toilets in front of the Geminis Club. Mio must enter one of these pools, and Zoey must throw it towards the back building, where there are some stairs. Mio must then lower the ladder so that Zoey can climb up.
Chapter 3: Hopes of Spring
4. Train Heist
You must advance the Lord Evergreen mission until Mio transforms into an otter to help Zoey continue on a tree trunk. On the way, there will be some trees that you will have to climb to get to the portal, which is in the middle of a very technological portal.
5. Gameshow
While Zoey fuses with the environment and can control the giant trunk, Mio must fight the monkeys in the Walking Stick of Doom mission. Once you pass the bridge and are both in the same area, to the left of the path, there will be a structure that doesn’t match the green forest aesthetic.
6. Collapsing Star
As you progress through the Halls of Ice mission, you must climb outside the castle after opening the door with the otter and tree shape. Then, you must swing to reach one of the towers; a metal structure with the next Side Story will appear.
Chapter 4: Final Dawn
7. Kites
In the Toxic Tumblers mission, after the part with the flying circular platforms, you will reach a corridor with a door on the left that both characters must open. Instead, go to the end of the corridor, and you will see another portal surrounded by Kites.
8. Moon Market
Right after defeating the Factory Warden, you will reach an area where you must pass red and blue gates and then a series of platforms during the Test Chamber mission. You will find a gate on the left; use your shooting to open it. Then, you should pass some more platforms to reach the medieval building with the portal at the end.
9. Notebook
After you get to the Soaring Desperados mission, in one part, you must use your jetpack to avoid the enormous gear falling down the pipe. When you get close to the middle of the pipe, a bigger portal will appear on the left side, and you must glide to reach the platform.
Chapter 5: Rise of the Dragon Realm
10. Slopes of War
Right after your dragons hatched in the Water Temple mission, you will pass the rock-skipping pool. Follow your path to the giant golden platforms/eggs, and just above the fruit tree, go up. There will be a cave with this Side Story.
11. Space Escape
Follow the main path once you defeat the Dragon Slayer and exit his fortress. You will instantly see this portal to the right. This is in the Craft Temple mission.
12. Birthday Cake
Open your eyes wide after getting the four dragon spirits from the temple and the cinematic, where you fly over the dragon spirit during the Treasure Temple mission. You will reach an area with pink crystals, and you can’t miss the location of this last one of the Side Stories because it has a huge pink aura and is surrounded by candy.
