Amazon Prime Video has finally released The Wheel of Time trailer, featuring magic, monsters, and more. This upcoming TV series is based on a series of books by Robert Jordan, which share the same name. The TV series features Rosamund Pike as Morianie, who is just one of the many members of an all-female, magical organization. In the books and likely in the TV series, she leads five young heroes on a worldwide journey in order to discover which of them will fulfill an ancient prophecy. Aside from Rosamund Pike, the cast also includes Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, Zoe Robins, Barney Harris, and Madeleine Madden. Have a look at the first trailer below!
In The Wheel of Time trailer, viewers get a brief glimpse of their journey. Viewers see Pike along with the others traveling through various places and climates, battling monsters, and using magic to their advantage. Like many other Amazon series, the visual effects, set design, and cinematography showcased in The Wheel of Time trailer are impressive. It would appear Amazon has spared no expense in producing this series.
The Wheel of Time TV series is being adapted by Rafe Jenkins, who serves as the showrunner and an executive producer. Other executive producers include Larry Mondragon and Rick Selvage from Red Eagle Entertainment, Mike Weber and Ted Field from Radar Pictures, and Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe, and Uta Briesewitz. Briesewitz is also directing the first two episodes of the series. The lead of the series, Rosamund Pike, is also a producer.
This fantasy/drama series is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television. It is set to premiere its first three episodes on Friday, November 19 on Amazon Prime Video. New episodes will continue to be released each week on Fridays until December 24, which is the date of the season finale.
