Players are curious to know if they can meet intelligent alien lifeforms in Starfield. The game centers around exploring the cosmos and finding new planets to collect resources. Given its strong sci-fi themes, many wonder if aliens can be found within the many different worlds. With intergalactic travel now feasible thanks to futuristic spaceships, the idea of encountering aliens doesn’t feel outlandish in Starfield. The game’s publisher, Bethesda Softworks, has incorporated aliens in their other titles, but does Bethesda bring back aliens for Starfield?

Yes, you can encounter various strange things in your adventures within Starfield. The most dangerous aspect of the game is avoiding space pirates and surviving on planets with unsuitable environments. However, the pirates and enemies are strictly human.

With that said, you can meet non-intelligent creatures on other planets. These aliens have no way to communicate with you and don’t appear to be part of a higher intelligence. Some of the aliens can be hostile to you if you choose to aggravate them or get near them, so it’s best to avoid most of these aliens. There are also alien plants that you can interact with, but these plants don’t show signs of intelligence either.

We have not been able to find any intelligent aliens in Starfield. While the game features strong sci-fi themes, Starfield chooses to present its futuristic setting in a more grounded reality. The primary purpose of the title is to travel, collect, craft, and explore rather than fight aliens.

The game does have a story featuring antagonists for you to fight or potentially avoid with persuasion. Nevertheless, the game is about the wonders of space exploration and resource management.
