Before Sony’s announcement, the new PS Plus Essential August titles appear to have leaked online. The rumored new titles that will be included in the PS Plus Essentials tier have been disclosed by Dealabs user billbil-Kun. Next month, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, a modern RPG from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will be available for PS4 and PS5.

PS Plus Essential Games for August 2022

The list of games coming to PS Plus Essential and the other two other tiers (Extra and Premium) of the service for August has been provided by Dealabs. This website has previously accurately leaked PS Plus games for past months. The new leak indicates that Little Nightmares will only be accessible on the PS4, whereas Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Remake, Yakuza: Like A Dragon, will be released on PS4 and PS5. The three games will be accessible from August 2 to September 6.

  • Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 (PS5 / PS4)
  • Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS5 / PS4)
  • Little Nightmares (PS4)

If you don’t know yet, the PS Plus membership service, which offers gamers access to a few free titles each month, has a new name: PlayStation Plus Essential. The cheapest tier of the subscription is offered for $9.99 a month. It’s a great value when you consider that all three games will be accessible to PS Plus subscribers at the cheapest subscription, allowing more people to enjoy the action-packed Yakuza, skate, and terrifying tales.

Also, the July 2022 PS Plus games were Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan, and Arcadegeddon. The list is highlighted by Activision’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, released for PS5 and PS4. Arcadegeddon, a co-op multiplayer game by Illfonic, is also coming to both platforms. Lastly, Supermassive Games’ The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan arrived on PS4 only. All three games are playable from July 5 to August 2.
