A trip to a Minnesota McDonald’s turned into a viral controversy this week after a video showed a former crew member chasing a group of teenage girls toward the exit. During the heated confrontation, one of the girls’ phones was knocked to the ground. The girl’s mother says her 16-year-old daughter was assaulted during the incident and is calling for accountability.

Editor’s note 09/17/2026: This article has been updated to correct an inaccuracy. The now-former employee was a crew member, not a manger as previously stated. The individual no longer works at the McDonald’s restaurant seen in the footage below and discussed in this article.

Then throws a punch at the girl filming.

The video, shared by Heather Evans on Facebook and reshared on X by user @LongTimeHistory, begins in the middle of the confrontation, with the phone hitting the ground and the girls shouting. It then cuts back to show what happened before that moment.

Inside the McDonald’s in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, a crew member is seen sitting at a table while a girl confronts him.

“Please say that again. Please say that again. And what else? We ignorant piece of *expletive*?” she says.

The man tells the group to leave and accuses them of selling merchandise inside the restaurant. The girl denies the accusation.

The argument continues, with the girl accusing the crew member of singling out her group every time they visit. He responds, “It’s my job.”

The girls then fire back, “You get paid like twenty dollars an hour,” and question whether he even knows how much he makes. The crew member insists they don’t know his salary, while the girls repeat, “I do, though,” several times.

The crew member eventually gets up and follows the girls toward the door. He gets close to their faces while accusing them of trespassing. Moments later, the phone is knocked out of the girl’s hand and hits the ground. The recording ends shortly afterward as the girls can be heard shouting.

In her follow-up Facebook post, Evans wrote that her daughter “got assaulted” and asked people to share the video and identify him to “make sure he can’t ever get a job again.”

Evans said the confrontation began after the crew member followed the girls into the restroom and asked if they were “doing crazy or some type of drug.”

In the post, Evans said she is “doing things the right and legal way” to pursue accountability. She also defended her daughter against commenters who blamed her for what happened, writing that she “didn’t deserve this regardless if he hit her the phone or whatever.”

Internet Reacts to Minnesota McDonald’s Confrontation

Reactions online leaned heavily against the crew member. One commenter wrote, “I’m sorry… crack? Dude thinks it’s 1986?” Another person suggested taking legal action, writing, “Just go call your lawyer and sue him and the corporation.”

A third commenter argued, “His dumb *expletive* needs arrested and charged!”

Others focused on details from the mother’s account. One person asked, “Wait…he followed 2 16yo girls INTO THE WOMEN’S BATHROOM?“ Another predicted that the crew member could face consequences, writing, “It’s not bad enough he hit her, he hit her OUTSIDE. He’s going to pay, in more ways than one.”

A McDonald’s representative has since reached out to The Nerd Stash to explain that the crew member no longer works for the company.
