Those who play Druid characters might be inclined to the roleplaying opportunities that come with it. You’re one with nature. Your character embraces what the world gives them and protects those who seek to harm it. While many stay in communities to further attune to the world, others enjoy the adventurer’s life, and that’s where your character comes in. Druids are one of the most versatile classes in the games, thanks to their spells and shape-shifting capabilities. We’ve prepared a guide with the best Druid build in Baldur’s Gate 3 if you want to use these abilities and all this class’s toolkits.
Baldur’s Gate 3: Druid Build for Balanced Difficulty
We’ll focus on a Circle of the Moon Druid build for Baldur’s Gate 3, made for those who play in Balanced difficulty. This game is easy to follow and should be great for newcomers to the game and those who’ve never played Dungeons and Dragons.
Race Options
For the race, we recommend grabbing Wood Elf. While it might not have as many proficiencies as others, the extra movement speed is fantastic, as it’ll let you improve how much you move while shapeshifting.
Background and Skills
For background, we recommend grabbing Outlander. This is a good roleplaying option but also comes with Survival and Athletics proficiencies, which will be great in many situations. Besides that, pick Animal Handling for skills, as it is another great option. When it comes to skills, we recommend you set them as follows:
- Strength: 8
- Dexterity: 15 (+1 Bonus)
- Constitution: 14
- Intelligence: 12
- Wisdom: 17 (+2 Bonus)
- Charisma: 8

Equipment
We recommend using the best medium armor you can find and a polearm or glaive for equipment. For the latter, you can get some fantastic ones while exploring the Gauntlet of Shar. Also, mentioning why we didn’t put spells above is important. Since most of your fighting is through a Wild Shape, spells are situational and more for roleplaying. Yet, we recommend using Thorns and Moonbeam to keep enemies at bay.
