Lae’zel is one of the first characters you’ll encounter in Baldur’s Gate 3, and if you’re a fan of her personality then here we’ll explain how to gain Lae’zel’s approval and romance her. From the beginning, Lae’zel is a bit of a pain. She can be rude and very forward with her thoughts. However, that isn’t necessarily the worst thing, right? Since her words are more harsh, earning her approval will take a couple of snide comments and rude remarks.
How To Gain Lae’zel Approval in Baldur’s Gate 3
Before you gain Lae’zel’s approval, knowing about her likes and dislikes is essential. If you pay attention while conversing in the game, there are certain things Lae’zel approves of and others she does not.

- Direct actions
- Straight to the point
- Insulting
- Violence
- Side quest rejections
- Marital Prowess, Determination
- Dislikes
- Distractions
- Shadowheart
- Side quests
If you have to have conversations that Lae’zel won’t enjoy, you can leave her at the camp for the duration of those conversations to avoid losing approval with Lae’zel in Baldur’s Gate 3, so Romance is still possible. Additionally, you can leave Lae’zel in a different area during the interaction rather than banishing her back to the camp. Ungroup your party, then group it back up once you’ve finished the conversation.
How to Romance Lae’zel
After you’ve reached a certain Approval level with Lae’zel in Baldur’s Gate 3, you can choose to Romance her. However, this is only possible once you’ve made your way through the game’s main story. In this instance, you must complete the entire questline involving the Druids’ Grove. Be sure to save Halsin and the other refugees. Once you’ve completed it, head to camp to take a long rest.
After you wake up, you will be able to ask Lae’zel to attempt to romance her in conversation. You can choose one of these dialogue choices:
- Yes. I will share my bed with you tonight.
- Are you… asking for sex?
Once the conversation is complete, head back to your bedroom and interact with it so you can go to bed with Lae’zel. When this action is initiated, you will trigger a cutscene of yourself and Lae’zel spending the night together, engaging in romance.
