Palworld is a vast open-world game; sometimes, if you are into the game for the first time, you might not do some basic things correctly. The game has two parts if you need to progress quickly. First, you require a good base with enough materials, tools, and equipment. Secondly, you must explore and capture different pals. Knowing the best tips to build your base in Palworld quickly is essential, providing an efficient stream of material to go through the initial stage.
Best Tips to Choose the Location To Build Your First Base in Palworld
You must choose your location to build your first base in Palworld, focusing on farming Wood, Stone, and Ore. However, Ore deposits are rare compared to the other two materials. So, your best bet is to build your base in a flat area covering the maximum ground. When you develop your base, the most crucial factor is maximizing your ground capacity.
So our best tip is to build your base in Palworld in a large flat area with many trees, ideally around three Stone deposits within the range. However, ensure you have one Ore deposit nearby to approach them quickly.
I think you do not have to worry too much about enemy attacks since most of the enemy’s attacks on your Palworld base are trounced by your pals. The game objectives direct you to build a Primitive Workbench first, and then you must make the Palbox and unlock Pal Spear as soon as possible.
First Buildings To Build In Palworld
Once you have set up the Primitive Workbench and Palbox and unlocked the Pal Sphere technology at level 2, you must focus on gathering more material, especially Wood, Stone, and Ore. You will need them to build your basic structures. First, try to get your hand on Stone Pickaxe and Stone Axe since you will do some wood cutting and stone mining until you make them automated. Then, below are the first buildings you must build in the base that are crucial to progress in Palworld quickly.
1. Repair Bench
A Repair Bench is crucial to repair your tools and equipment. Once you start wood cutting and mining, your tools get damaged more often, and you will need the Repair Bench to fix them.
2. Wooden Store Box
Placing a Wooden Store Box is the first step to automate your material-gathering process. We recommend assigning a Cattiva and a Lamball as your first pals in the base because they are good gatherers in Palworld and will gather any resources around the area to these boxes. You do not necessarily keep material in your inventory. You can still build anything at the base if you have materials in Store Boxes.
3. Pal Beds
Pals without bed easily get stressed out. So, you need to focus next to build enough Pal Beds for pals at your base. When you develop your base further, you might be required to construct advanced Pal Beds since even if you have enough Pal Beds at your base, you will see some of your pals easily get stressed out and unwilling to do any work. Also, build these where your pals can easily approach and rest.
4. Food Box
When you reach level 5, your pals will need more food. So you have to automate the food production as soon as possible to ensure they are not stressed out and work in good condition. Initially, one Food Box is enough to feed all of them. But when you assign high-level pals to the base in Palworld, you must build another one or two more food boxes.
5. Berry Plantation
Once you have the food box in place, you will have to automate the food production to have a smoother process. Farming involves three processes: Seeding, Watering, and Harvesting. At first, the best pals to assign in farming are Lifmunk, Fuack, and Tanzees. Later, you can assign Pals Such as Caprity, Azurobe, and Bristla to get the maximum out of Farms.
In the beginning, the main requirement of Rancher is wool production, which is necessary to craft Armor. However, you do not need to worry much about building Rancher in the Palworld base too soon since defeating some Lamballs at the beginning area will quickly get you enough Wool you need to craft Clothes.
6. Pal Gear Workbench
When you reach level 6, you can unlock the Pal Gear Work Bench and craft various items to unlock Partner Skills for pals. You will need those items especially to unlock the riding skills of pals. For a start, unlocking the Melpaca Saddle is the best. Melpaca is a bit slow compared to Skythdeer but still provides a good ride initially.
Then, we highly recommend you unlock Nitewing Saddle as soon as you reach level 15. It is your first air ride, and it is crucial to explore mountain areas quickly.
7. Logging Site
At level 7, you can unlock a Logging Site, a crucial building to automate the Wood production in the Palworld base. I assigned two Skythdeers first to this building and never ran out of Wood again. But later, I assigned two Dinossoms to it once there was enough stock. Because Dinossoms are at level 2 for seeding and lumbering, you can get both works from them.
8. Stone Pit
Stone Pit is also crucial to have a good Stone income. Cattivas are the best to assign for this since they have a considerable speed. Later, assign a Digtoise; they are level 3 miners, and one Digtoise is enough to produce a lot of Stone.
9. Crusher
Until you place a crusher in the Palworld base, you must depend on mining to acquire Paldium Fragments, crucial materials to craft various items, including Pal Spheres. However, the crusher needs watering. If you have assigned around two Sufent to the base, they will look after any watering tasks.
I was lucky enough to get an Azurobe with level 3 watering skills early in the game and had a good advantage in-game progression. But, their habitat is far down the map in the Sanctuary at the southwest corner.
10. Primitive Furnace
The Ingot is one of the third most required materials in Palworld, and you can only acquire Ingot from Primitive Furnace. Foxparks are good pals to assign for furnacing at the early stage of the game. But the best ones are Ragnahawk, and they are also level 3 collectors.
11. Second Palbox
As mentioned earlier, you need to focus on acquiring Stones, Wood, and Ore as much as possible at the early stage of the game to get speedy progression. Since you have already automated Wood and Stone production, you must focus on Ore farming in Palworld. However, unlike the other two materials, Ore deposits are rare. Therefore, you need to find a location with a good amount of Ore deposits and locate your second Palworld base there.
I found a location around five ore deposits at the top of the hill west of the Fort Ruins. There are around five Ore deposits near each other. You can assign around two Digtoises and one Ragnahawk to get Ingot from the furnace. Then, assign other pals to basic requirements to self-maintain the base. You will gain a continuous supply of Ingots from there.
These are the best tips you must have to build your Palworld base. Once you have reached this level, from there onward, you can focus on upgrading your tools and equipment and exploring tasks to capture more pals.
