With the Vision Hunt Decree, Inazuma and Watatsumi Island suffered a dark period of war caused by the whim of the Raiden Shogun. However, the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island decided to leave the temple to ensure the freedom of her people. So, Kokomi became the strategist of the Genshin Impact resistance, in charge of getting builds and weapons for her team of warriors. Fortunately, as a good broker, she was crucial in signing the peace agreement at the war’s end.

The Best Artifacts for Kokomi
It is essential to create a build before going into combat, and Kokomi is one of the experts in Genshin Impact to make elaborate plans and tactics to surprise the enemies, such as these:
DPS-Healer | Support |
---|---|
Ocean-Hued Clam 4-Pieces: When the character equipping this artifact set heals a character in the party, a Sea-Dyed Foam will appear for 3 seconds, accumulating the amount of HP recovered from healing (including overflow healing). At the end of the duration, the Sea-Dyed Foam will explode, dealing DMG to nearby opponents based on 90% of the accumulated healing. Only one Sea-Dyed Foam can be produced every 3.5 seconds. Each Sea-Dyed Foam can accumulate up to 30,000 HP (including overflow healing). There can be no more than one Sea-Dyed Foam active at any given time. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field. | Tenacity of the Millelith 4-Pieces: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field. |
For Kokomi as a DPS, her full potential appears when she uses her Burst constantly, accompanied by Basic Attacks; this will be the main form of Healing for your party. You can gain more HP with the jellyfish, but it will be enough with the Burst and the Ocean-Hued Clam bubble. While Tenacity of the Millelith will require 180% – 220% Energy Recharge, you will still constantly use Kokomi’s Burst.
The Best Weapons
Kokomi is not only the Priestess of Watatsumi Island but also the general of the resistance army of her island, so she knows well how to defend herself:
Kokomi DPS | Kokomi Support |
---|---|
Everlasting Moonglow (5-Star) Healing Bonus is increased by 10%, Normal ATK DMG is increased by 1% of the Max HP of the character equipping this weapon. For 12s after using an Elemental Burst, Normal Attacks that hit opponents will restore 0.6 Energy. Energy can be restored this way once every 0.1s. | Thrilling Tales Of Dragon Slayers (3-Star) When switching characters, the new character taking the field has their ATK increased by 24% for 10s. This effect can only occur once every 20s. |
Prototype Amber (4-Star) Using an Elemental Burst regenerates 4 Energy every 2s for 6s. Additionally, all party members will regenerate 4% HP every 2s for this duration. | Sacrificial Fragments (4-Star) After damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s. |
Thrilling Tales Of Dragon Slayers (4-Star) When switching characters, the new character taking the field has their ATK increased by 24% for 10s. This effect can only occur once every 20s. | Prototype Amber (4-Star) Using an Elemental Burst regenerates 4 Energy every 2s for 6s. Additionally, all party members will regenerate 4% HP every 2s for this duration. |
Although the intention is to turn the Divine Priestess into a DPS, it also improves her Healing. The weapons in Kokomi’s DPS build increase her ATK and Healing Bonus; both scale with HP, countering that Genshin Impact did not design her to have CRIT. However, for a Support role, her weapons are focused on ATK, or she can use her skills constantly, which allows for more Elemental Reactions.
Are Kokomi’s Constellations a Must-Have?
Having more Constellation is not essential to make your characters and Genshin Impact teams work, but if you want a boost, this is the best for Kokomi:
C4 The Moon Overlooks The Waters | While donning the Ceremonial Garment created by Nereid’s Ascension, Sangonomiya Kokomi’s Normal Attack SPD is increased by 10%, and Normal Attacks that hit opponents will restore 0.8 Energy for her. This effect can occur once every 0.2s. |
Not many Hydro characters serve as a battery, and Kokomi has trouble with her Energy Recharge. So, her C4 will give her more energy and SPD, which will help her do more DMG with her Burst.
The Best Team and Rotation
These are some of the best teams for Kokomi:
Kokomi DPS | Kokomi Support |
---|---|
Kokomi – Main DPS Nahida – Sub-DPS Raiden – Sub-DPS Kazuha – Support | Hu Tao – Main DPS Kokomi – Sub-DPS/Healer Kazuha – Sub-DPS Bennett – Support |
For Kokomi as a DPS, I prefer to use the Shogun’s Skill first, so I would do Electro DMG off-field and then mark all the enemies with Nahida’s Skill. Enemies would already have the Dendro Aura to use Kokomi’s Skill to apply Hydro and create Dendro Cores. Kazuha will help Hydro reach all enemies after using his Burst and Skill. Then, I will switch to Kokomi again to do Basic Attacks.
For Kokomi as a Hydro Support, I prefer to start with Bennett’s Burst to follow with Kazuha’s Burst and Skill to get the Pyro bonus. Then, Kokomi can use her Skill to create vaporized reactions. Although it’s not ideal to have a Hu Tao team with Kokomi, in this build it’s exactly the steams where this Pyro cast of Genshin Impact stands out, just be careful with the jellyfish. This is a clear example of how even though a character is designed in a certain way, you can still create your own compositions instead of that.
