Leon can be a rather tricky character to play in Brawl Stars, but with the best build and a bit of practice, he can be a force to reckon with. The hard part is getting used to his health pool, which is decent, but he’s no tank. Run in guns blazing, and you’re liable to get put down before you can even do anything. For that reason, you want to focus on improving Leon’s already exceptional damage.

Best Solo Build for Leon
When the chips are down and it’s you against nine other players, the best Leon build looks like this:
- Gadget: Clone Projector
- Gear Slot 1: Damage
- Star Power: Invisiheal
- Gear Slot 2: Damage
Clone Projector is incredibly frustrating for your opponents, as well as being on the receiving end. Not only is it very useful for baiting your opponent into wasting a bullet or two, it’s equally useful for escaping death. You have three charges of Clone Projector, too!

Best Lily Build in Brawl StarsDamage gear in both slots may sound like overkill, but Leon’s damage is already impressive, so this just ensures your opponent won’t stick around long enough to retaliate. However, swapping one of the slots for Speed is also acceptable to compound Leon’s movement speed and Lingering Smoke to stay invisible for two seconds longer.
You’ll likely catch a stray bullet here and there, and Leon’s health is finite. Invisiheal is a requirement here, letting you regain health whenever you use your super, Smoke Bomb. It’s like getting a second wind in the middle of a fight, topping your health off for the next duel.
Best Leon Builds for 3v3 and 5v5
If you’re playing with a few buddies, Leon can actually be a reliable support/assassin hybrid by making some slight changes to the solo build:
- Gadget: Lollipop Drop
- Gear Slot 1: Damage
- Star Power: Invisiheal
- Gear Slot 2: Gadget Charge
Lollipop Drop is essentially Smoke Bomb, but for your entire team and you get three charges (four, if you count the extra use from Gadget Charge). This lets you set up a vicious ambush against the opposing team. I’ve seen it time and time again; it’s quite the effective strategy.
The additional gear charge from Gadget Charge isn’t a hard and fast rule. You have teammates now, so the extra damage isn’t necessary. As an alternative, either go with Lingering Smoke or another Damage gear if your team is confident they can land their shots.
