Once you have a Mew, the best moveset will have to include the following:

  • Acid Spray: Lowers the opponent’s Special Defense by two stages.
    • Type: Poison
    • Power: 40
    • Accuracy: 100
    • PP: 20 (32)
    • Target: Single
  • Nasty Plot: Increases the user’s Special Attack by two stages.
    • Type: Dark
    • Power: –
    • Accuracy: –
    • PP: 20 (32)
    • Target: Self
  • Struggle Bug: Lowers the opponent’s Special Attack by one stage.
    • Type: Bug
    • Power: 50
    • Accuracy: 100
    • PP: 20 (32)
    • Target: All Opponents
  • Life Dew: Heals the user and ally by 25% of their max HP.
    • Type: Water
    • Power: –

    • PP: 10 (16)
    • Target: All Allies

It would also be wise if your Mew was wielding the Shell Bell, a held item that recovers 12.5% of the damage that your Pokemon inflicts on its opponents. You can find this item as a reward for doing different things across the world, but the easiest place to obtain a Shell Bell is at the Delibird Presents shop in Levincia. It’s an area that is available at the beginning of the game, and it costs 20,000 PokeCoins.

It’s also important to note that Mew comes with the Synchronize ability, which gives the opponent the same status condition that it gives your Pokemon. This is pretty useful in battles where your opponent is constantly dealing with attacks that specifically target your Pokemon’s status. It’s the only way to get by when you go against other enemies or even Tera Raid Pokemon like 7-Star Rillaboom.

Best Nature for Mew in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

The ideal nature for Mew in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is a modest one. This nature gives your Pokemon a natural rise in Special Attack while also providing a natural dip in Attack. Considering the movesets that we outlined above, that would be your best bet. Now, you have everything you need to know about the best moveset for Mew as well as the best nature for Mew in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
