The Vector .45 ACP submachine gun is the definition of a high-risk, high-reward weapon in XDefiant. It has an incredibly fast rate of fire, giving it one of the best time-to-kill potentials in the game, but extremely poor recoil control and a small magazine. If you hit your shots and use the right loadout for the Vector .45 ACP, you have perhaps the most lethal weapon in XDefiant. Unlike other SMGs, such as the MP5A2, you need a very specific loadout to get the most out of the Vector in XDefiant. Below, you can see all the attachments I use on my loadout to get high-kill games with this fast-firing weapon.

The largest issue with the Vector, surprisingly, is its damage range. While the SMG has the best time-to-kill out of any weapon within 10 or so meters, its damage drops off a cliff beyond that distance. This means you need to drastically increase the Vector’s damage range if you want any hope of killing an enemy beyond close range.

  • Muzzle: Barrel Extender
  • Barrel: Chrome-Lined Barrel
  • Front Rail: Tactical
  • Magazine: Quick Mag
  • Stock: Folded Stock

Kicking off the loadout are the two most important attachments. The Barrel Extender muzzle and the Chrome-Lined Barrel both improve your short and long-range damage. The muzzle increases short and long-range damage by 10% while the barrel boosts each stat by 20%, giving you a 30% increase in damage across the board. That’s a massive improvement, and it makes the Vector much more formidable outside of close range.

Moving on, the Tactical Front Rail offers some relief in the recoil control department, giving you 35% extra recoil recovery and even a small bump to mobility. Also helping out mobility is the Quick Mag, which boosts reload speed by 5%. However, the biggest boon with the Quick Mag is five extra bullets in every magazine, which makes a huge difference for the Vector since it runs out of bullets so quickly compared to some meta weapons.

The final attachment on the loadout is the Folded Stock, increasing movement speed by 5% at the cost of hipfire spread accuracy. That’s an acceptable trade-off, especially if you plan to aim down sights for every kill with the Vector. That does it for the best Vector .45 ACP loadout in XDefiant. It’s an incredibly rewarding loadout to use if you can master the Vector’s quirks.

XDefiant is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
