Undoubtedly, the Remnant 2 build system is exceptionally vast, involves a lot of creativity, and has many options for each player’s preferences. So, as soon as there is a new DLC and a new class, I not only rush the entire game looking for the Archetype, its signature weapons, and armor but also to find the best build. The Warden is no different, so as soon as I set foot back into Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon, I didn’t take my eyes off the screen until I found the perfect build for my Warden Archetype. Now it’s time for the bosses of N’Erud to fear me.
Archetype Combinations
One of the best flexes of Remnant 2 is that you can combine any of the Archetypes and swap the skills of each. For Warden, these are some of my favorite combos:
Combination | Skill | Effect |
---|---|---|
Warden + Handler | Drone: Shield + Guard Dog | With this combo, I can focus on fighting instead of staying alive. The Drone will refill the shiels while the dog attacks the enemies or revive your allies or me. |
Warden + Invoker | Drone: Shield + Way of Kaeula | The wave is perfect for rooting out enemies and the lightning to make sure you kill them. The Dron will still protect you with its shield. |
Warden + Engineer | Drone: Shield + Heavy Weapon: Vulcan | Become a heavy weapons expert with this build and the Invader turret. With the Drone, forget about taking damage, you are the damage. |
Warden + Ritualist | Drone: Shield + Miasma | Miasma inflicts various negative statuses on enemies that drain their HP (DoT) while you blast your way through with the Drone Shield. |
Weapon Choices
Just as you can’t pass up getting the Warden, you can’t miss the weapons that Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon added for this DLC. You’ll find outstanding weapons to make a build armed with cutting-edge technology with these options:
Weapon | Weapon Power | Mutator |
---|---|---|
Dark Matter Gauntlets (Melee) | Kilonova (Weapon Mod) Charged Melee empowers the Gauntlets for 15s, increases Standard Melee Damage by 25% and causing Charged Melee Attacks to release 8m penetrating blasts. Each blast reduces the duration. While empowered, performing a Charged Melee Attack during a Neutral Backdash gathers power for up to 5s, then fires a DARKNESS BEAM that deals 125 Melee Damage every 0.5s. The beam duration equals its time charge, then ends Kilonova after firing. | Overdrive |
Repair Tool (Hand Gun) | It fires a stream of nanomachines, dealing damage to enemies or healing allies for 3.15% of their maximum health per second. The nano-tech Turrets and Drones. | Helix |
Pulse Rifle (Long Gun) | It is a laser weapon with extreme accuracy and quick three-round bursts. | Momentum |
With this armament, you will become a futuristic tank with heavy guns, but as the Repair Tool works to give battery to the Drone or to heal, I prefer to take Mods that have Elemental Damage or improve the CRIT, especially if I have in my Skills Heavy Weapon: Vulcan.
Equipment
Another essential part of any build is the Amulets and Rings, which usually follow a similar theme for each planet. So I found very useful equipment for my Warden build with some of the items from N’Erude, but there are also other precious items from other Remnant 2 planets. These are my best alternatives:
Equipment | Effect |
Zero Divide (Amulet) | Gain Infinite Ammo Reserves and Increases Ranged Damage by 15%. |
Custodian’d Bastion (Ring) | Increases Armor by 1 per 2% of active SHIELD. Max 100 Bonus Armor. |
Mechanics Cog (Ring) | While carrying an Engineer Heavy Weapon, gain 15% Movement Speed and 1 Stack of BULWARK. |
A’Taerii Booster (Ring) | Heavy Weapons gain 10% Damage and 10% Critical Chance in both Carry Mode and Turret Mode. |
Ring of Ordnance (Ring) | Allows Heavy Weapon Ammo to regenerate while in both Heavy Carry or turret modes gradually. Doubles the stowed Ammo Regeneration Rate of Heavy Weapons. |
Zero Divide is my must for most of my builds, as it allows any weapon to get infinite ammo, and that goes with another of my favorites, the XMG57 Bonesaw.
If you’re looking for N’Erudean Archetype to become a planet conqueror, this build will ensure you have bullets flying all over the place as you fight elites or bosses to make your way through the zone.
