By now, many players might be used to (or a bit confused) with the classless system of Throne and Liberty. Instead of letting players pick a Paladin, Warrior, or Mage when they start the game, they can choose between seven weapons to make their own sort of archetype. With the ability to have two active weapons at the same time, finding the best combos in Throne and Liberty can be daunting, especially for those aiming for some hardcore activities and endgame content. Here, we’ve made a list of the best five you can start working toward.
5. Sword and Shield / Greatsword
The Sword and Shield/Greatsword is the only and best weapon combo for tanks in Throne and Liberty. While many might associate tanks with PvE content, this build works surprisingly well for PvP, too. Since it has many defense skills and a few crowd control abilities, you can rush toward other enemies and let your DPS do the job of eliminating enemy NPCs or other players. Keep in mind that the damage won’t be high for this build, but being an unkillable machine makes up for it.
4. Staff / Longbow
Staff and Longbow are the ultimate ranged weapons. If you don’t want to be on the frontlines, this is an excellent combo to pick enemies from afar. There are a few downsides to it, though. First, it is a bit more useful in PvE due to the AoE capabilities. However, it has some use in PvP, especially in large-scale content. On the other hand, if you’re aiming for small-scale PvP fights, you’ll struggle a bit with this one.
3. Wand / Sword and Shield
If you thought Greatsword/Sword and Shield was the unkillable combo, wait until you try this one. It might be a bit of an unorthodox combination, but it works wonderfully. It is the classic Paladin build because it provides support while also being as tanky as it can get. I’m not kidding. By spamming healing and defensive skills, anyone with this combo can stay alive regardless of how many enemies are around. Needless to say, this is an excellent build for PvE and PvP, so you can take it for a spin in both types of content. Remember, though, the DPS numbers won’t be too high.
2. Dagger / Crossbow
Dagger is the ultimate weapon in Throne and Liberty, which leads to some of the best combos, as well. One of the most destructive and fast combinations is Dagger/Crossbow. The main takeaway of this combo is how versatile it is. In any PvP content, you can start shooting enemies from afar with the Crossbow and approach them with your Daggers to finish them off. If you get overwhelmed, both weapons have excellent evasive skills to get you out of a tight spot. Anywhere you look at it, you can’t go wrong with this build.
1. Dagger / Greatsword
Lastly, we have Dagger/Greatsword, which is the build that many players will see in the game, and with good reason. It has the damage, the sustain, and the crowd control skills to face any situation or any pesky foe. As long as you keep your Greatsword as the main weapon and know your rotation, you should be the fastest and deadliest melee attacker in any content. It might struggle in large-scale scenarios, but only by a small margin. Overall, it is the best build for melee players in Throne and Liberty.
While these are the combos I recommend, don’t let that deter you from trying other weapons in Throne and Liberty. The meta might be set right now, but player skill plays a significant part, so go wild with your combos. The silver lining of Throne and Liberty is that you can swap weapons at any moment. However, you might need to grind a lot to master every armament.
