Tabletop roleplaying games are growing in popularity and the developers behind the Dishonored series are making their own. Arkane Studios announced they are developing a streamlined version of the video game franchise set to release this summer.
Dishonored: The Roleplaying Game will feature 300 pages detailing the Empire of the Isles. The guidebook will include an in-depth look at the history of Dunwall and the lands of Tyvia and Karnaca. While also providing insight into the Void.
The mini-campaign is titled The Oil Trail and plays out in four distinct acts.
The Dishonored roleplaying game will be released in a deluxe table-friendly hardcover digest book containing everything players will need to jump straight into the streets of Dunwall, with a comprehensive guide to storytelling in the isles and a series of adventures that will take them on a journey of drama, intrigue, deception and occultism. Along with the book’s release, there will be custom dice, cards, and other accessories to add to the experience.”

The book is being developed by Nathan Dowdell (Conan: Adventures in an Age Undreamed, Star Trek Adventures), and is led by Federico Sohns (Nibiru RPG). It will be published by Bethesda and Modiphius Entertainment who worked on the Fallout RPG and are about to release a Skyrim tabletop game.
In close collaboration with Dishonored’s co-creative director Harvey Smith, Modiphius has worked with a diverse selection of writers and artists, some of which have already worked alongside Arkane Studios on the video game series, ensuring that the final product will live up to the fans’ expectations — while at the same time allowing them to explore the Empire of the Isles under a new lens.
The Dishonored tabletop game will be based off of the 2d20 system used in Star Trek Adventures and the Conan roleplaying games.
Dishonored: The Roleplaying Game is scheduled to release this summer.
