The trailer for another season of Black Mirror just released along with some interesting tidbits about it. You can see the trailer down below:

This season of Black Mirror is only three episodes long, which isn’t a new concept to the overall series. Previous seasons did have a mix of three to six episodes. Regardless, all of the previous seasons of Black Mirror included some very familiar and phenomenal actors. We had Bryce Dallas Howard, Benedict Wong, and many other amazing actors portray interesting characters.

The fifth season seems to be heading back to how it all started with a three-episode long series. Season 5 will include actors like Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Falcon from the MCU), Yahya Abdul- Mateen (Black Manta from Aquaman), Topher Grace (Eric from That ’70s Show), and Miley Cyrus. These actors all portray characters affected by technology in some way. There are nodes to VR suits and headsets, optical enhancing technology, AI-assisted robots, and much more. For now, it is unclear from the trailer if the characters for these three episodes will meet outside of their own episodes.

But what about any more playable episodes for this series? As far as we know, there is not going to be any playable episodes like with Bandersnatch for this fifth season. Black Mirror did an incredible job incorporating the play feature along with the storytelling the show’s creator, Charlie Brooker, brings to it every season. The fifth season is set to feature near-futuristic technology we have in our day to day lives already but with twists and turns for each of the new episodes.

The fifth season of Black Mirror will release all three episodes on June 5th, 2019, on Netflix. What are your thoughts on this series? Did you enjoy the other seasons? Let us know down in the comments below!
