Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has nailed it with all the new Season 1 content and the smooth Warzone integration, however, there are a few drawbacks that are raising the player’s eyebrows. First, it was the removal of the 2XP tokens in BO6, and now for some reason, I’ve noticed that the Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 Battle Pass have less CP to offer.
Starting with Modern Warfare 2019, Call of Duty started its seasonal Battle Pass system, integrating what other games like Fortnite had introduced into their game. Now, to be honest, Call of Duty games’ Battle Passes are considered a good trade. Even if you’re a casual player, you’d still end up getting a ton of operator skins, weapon blueprints, and a bunch of items by the end of the season, also redeeming the 1100 CP you spent to buy the Battle Pass.
However, in the past couple of years, every single Call of Duty Battle Pass has been giving away 300 free CP in addition to the 1100 you earn by purchasing and completing it. That’d be 1400 CP for the Battle Pass owners and 300 CP for normal players, while the former is now reduced in Black Ops 6.
On a surprising and unannounced occasion, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 only feature 800 CP for the Battle Pass owners and 300 CP that’s free to be earned by anyone grinding in the game. This has enraged some fans over on Reddit, but I don’t think it’s a big deal.
The reason is that the 300 free CP is still there for normal players, and you can still earn all the 1100 CP you need to buy the next season’s Battle Pass. Still, the removal of the additional 300 CP isn’t the best out there, but it doesn’t make Armageddon either.
In fact, Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 Battle Pass are giving away more quality items to have fun with in both games and all modes. That might make up for the missing 300 CP, but it’s unclear why has Activision decided to make this decision.
