Despite all the rumors and leaks on Call of Duty 2025 not getting a reveal at the Xbox Showcase event, the game is revealed, and oh what a reveal that was. Black Ops 7 has been revealed with a trailer, and we’re looking at a direct sequel following the events of Black Ops 2 with 2 returning characters that fans would love to have back in full swing.
It’s been a rough month for Call of Duty. From Black Ops 6 Season 4’s terrible launch to Splitgate 2‘s director calling the annual FPS franchise boring. But, as I said in a recent post, all that would be wiped away with a new teaser and that’s a single dialogue by none other than Raul Menendez. Yes, the man is back, and the Cordis Die movement is still on with David Mason haunted by its leader.
The trailer begins with David Mason being presented with cutting-edge technology that seemingly creates illusions. The futuristic tech showcased in the trailer is peak Black Ops with all its mind-bending and reality-shifting narrative. However, we still don’t know whether Raul Menendez is actually alive, or is he just dead and that’s his brain being uploaded to the machine.
With Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 revealed, there is no news on the exact release date, but it’s quite evident that we’ll get more info as we get closer to the end of the year. Also no news on whether this year’s Call of Duty will feature a CoD NEXT event or not, but there should be in-game events in Warzone and Black Ops 6 later this year in their final seasons.
There are rumors about Black Ops 7 serving like MWIII for Black Ops 6, allowing the current game’s weapons and operators to be carried to the next title. What is confirmed, however, is that you can play BO7 Campaign Co-Op with your friends and have fun slaying the undead with another year of Round-Based Zombies!
