We are getting an explosive reunion. John Wick and Nobody writer Derek Kolstad is working on a new action movie titled Normal, which will star Bob Odenkirk, who starred in the latter flick. Meg 2: The Trench director Ben Wheatley will helm the project, which will give us more time to see the Better Call Saul actor as an unexpected action hero.
The film will follow the actor as Ulysses. After the unexpected death of the sheriff, he must take on the role of the sleepy town. An out-of-town couple rob the local bank, putting Ulysses as the lead investigator. In a Hot Fuzz-like conspiracy, he uncovers a dark secret that everyone in town is in on.
Bob Odenkirk Is Ready to Fight In a New Action Movie Called Normal
The Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul actor shocked everyone in 2021’s Nobody. Playing a seemingly normal guy with a violent past revisits his darkness after his home is robbed. His quest for revenge leads to a war against the Russian mob. The jolt of a different type of role for him has led to this latest project and being signed up for Nobody 2.
The writer and actor will produce with Marc Provissiero. Currently, WME Independent is set to prepare sales at the European Film Market.
Derek Kolstad has made a name for himself as one of the best action writers since John Wick. He wrote the first three films in the Keanu Reeves franchise, Nobody, and episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He is writing an adaptation of the video game Just Cause, an anime adaptation of the video game Splinter Cell, a live-action take on the game Sifu, and he is creating a Dungeons and Dragons series.
Not much is known when we will see Bob Odenkirk return for an action movie. Neither Nobody 2 nor Normal has a release date or window.
