The official Pokémon Twitter page has showcased a brand new Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl trailer. The details of the trailer went over the additional updated features that will be available in the upcoming remakes, including how to make Poffins, how HM moves will function, profiles of other characters, and much more!

Pokétch and HMs, Poffins, and Amity Square!

The new Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl trailer offered a deeper glimpse into some of the main changes and updates that will be available in the remakes. These add updated quality of life features from the original games, perhaps the most notable of which is the Pokétch. This watch-like item allowed you to use various features, such as checking in on your Pokémon, dowsing for certain, and other helpful features during your adventure. However, it seems now that you will be able to access a brand new app known as the Hidden Moves app, which will allow you to call upon wild Pokémon make of use of special moves like Cut to chop down trees that block your way or Rock Climb to scale cliffs.

In addition, details about how to cook and use Poffins have been shared. These tasty treats could be given to your Pokémon to boost their stats in Contest, and it is now also possible to cook alongside your Pokémon outside of the usual Poffin building in Hearthome City, mainly in Amity Square. Amity Square was a park that allowed you to walk with your Pokémon in the original, but it is even better and more expansive! You can now let your Pokemon freely roam in the square ad play with them to strengthen your bonds and create lasting memories in a charming and fun setting.

The models of the trainers Cheryl, Riley, and the Gym Leader Gardenia were also showcased, outlining the respective roles they will each play in your adventure.
