California DHS Agents Allegedly Hit U.S. Citizen With Vehicle, Then Detain Her: ‘Every Single One Needs to Be Held Accountable’

Federal vehicle means federal excuse

A video circulating online shows a woman allegedly struck by a federal police vehicle in Los Angeles, California. Multiple agents then drag her and pin her to the ground in a confrontation that has drawn sharp criticism from viewers demanding accountability.

DHS hits U.S. citizen with their vehicle—then arrest the injured woman.

Agents then violently detain the very woman they hit—instead of providing any medical assistance.

The footage shows a Homeland Security/Federal Protective Service police SUV moving through a crowd that has nearly surrounded it. A woman in a black outfit can be seen talking to agents standing in the road when the SUV approaches from behind and hits her, causing her to fall.

The video then cuts to several agents dragging her toward the vehicle as bystanders can be heard shouting “let her go.” She falls to the ground again, and one agent pins her down while others form a perimeter around them, apparently preventing anyone from intervening. The woman can be heard screaming as she is held, and the person recording the video can be heard saying the agents were “hurting” her.

The footage later shows the woman handcuffed behind her back and being walked away as agents work to disperse the crowd. The video ends with her being taken into what appears to be a detention facility.

The video was originally posted to Instagram by @back.up.bruhhh and later reshared on X by @LongTimeHistory. According to the X post, the confrontation took place outside Los Angeles’ Metropolitan Detention Center on Alameda Street in California.

Neither the woman’s identity nor the circumstances that led to the initial encounter with agents have been independently confirmed.

Internet Reacts After California DHS Agents Arrest Woman

The video quickly generated backlash online, with viewers focusing on the vehicle strike and the agents’ subsequent handling of the woman. One commenter wrote, “Every single one needs to be held accountable.” Another argued for transparency, writing, “The public deserves transparency not excuses, missing footage, or an internal investigation that goes nowhere. A badge is not immunity from accountability.”

A third pointed to the timing of the incident, writing, “She was literally speaking to another police officer when that *expletive* hit her.”

Other commenters connected the video to broader frustration with federal immigration enforcement operations in the Los Angeles area. One wrote, “ICE has a lot to answer for in the coming years,” while another wrote, “I don’t know how they sleep at night but I suppose it’s easy to do when you don’t have a decent bone in your body or a conscience.”

The Metropolitan Detention Center on Alameda Street in California has been the site of repeated protests and confrontations between demonstrators and federal agents throughout 2025 and 2026. Immigration enforcement operations across Southern California have also faced sustained scrutiny during that time.

Neither the Department of Homeland Security nor the Federal Protective Service had issued a public statement addressing this specific video at the time of publication.
