California Woman Sees Nothing but ‘Green Flags’ Until Date Sends Her One Wild Screenshot: ‘Why Would He SHOW YOU??’

That is absolutely disgusting

A woman in California thought three chance encounters with the same man might actually be leading somewhere. He respected her boundaries, asked permission before calling and carefully planned their first date. Then, the night before they were supposed to go out, he sent her screenshots containing one sentence that erased every “green flag” she thought she’d seen.

They met another time, but nothing happened between them. The third time they happened to meet, he asked for her number again, and she agreed. At that point, Cydney said that nothing appeared to be wrong with him. As they continued talking, the two agreed to go on a date through text messages. He also asked for her permission before calling her on the phone, which was viewed as another positive sign.

The next green flag came when the man asked Cydney how old she was before the date. He continued asking questions to help prepare for their plans, including what restaurants she liked and whether she had any allergies. After getting the information he needed, he made the reservation as they had agreed.

Then, around 12:30 a.m. the night before their date, Cydney received an unexpected text while she was sleeping. When she woke up and checked her phone, she found screenshots of a conversation between the man and someone she presumed was his friend.

The screenshots included Cydney’s Hinge profile. The friend apparently recognized her and asked whether anything had happened between the pair. “Not yet,” the man responded.

“Well, I’mma shoot my shot on Hinge lol,” his friend replied.

Initially confused about why he had sent the exchange to her, Cydney went back to sleep. The next day, as she prepared for their date, she remembered the strange message and took another look.

That’s when she realized he had sent three screenshots, and she had missed the worst part.

In the screenshots, the man apparently encouraged his friend to pursue Cydney on Hinge, telling him to “go for it.” But what he said next immediately ended any chance of their date happening.

“Maybe we can tag team her,” he wrote, according to the screenshot Cydney shared.

Cydney was speechless.

“No, you actually cannot tag team me,” she responded in the video. “That was never an option. That was never gonna be an option.”

Cydney said nothing in their previous conversations suggested she would welcome a comment like that. Whatever interest she’d had in their upcoming date disappeared. She deleted their conversation, blocked his number and canceled the date.

Viewers Can’t Get Past the Screenshots

Cydney wasn’t the only one struggling to understand what had happened. “The way I audibly gasped,” one person wrote. Another had two questions: “1) why would he say that? 2) why would he SHOW YOU???”

“Thats insane,” another person wrote, while someone else concluded simply, “Men are not lonely enough…”

The biggest mystery for some viewers wasn’t what the man said but why he voluntarily sent Cydney the screenshots. One commenter speculated that someone else could have sent them from his phone, while another wondered whether he was bothered by seeing her active on Hinge. Neither theory has been confirmed, and Cydney herself appeared just as confused about his decision to send them.

Cydney never got an explanation for why the man sent her screenshots of a conversation that ultimately cost him the date. After three chance encounters and a string of apparent green flags, all it took was one late-night message to change her mind. The dinner reservation never stood a chance, and neither did his number once Cydney hit block.
