Ever since the release of Call of Duty HQ, we’ve been dealing with bugs that we’ve never seen before. No, I’m not talking about the exploits and map glitches. This is the sort of bug that doesn’t even let the players reach the first menu. This has happened time after time, and now the Black Ops 6 Season 2 Reloaded update has broken the game for all players using the HQ with “fetching online profile.”
After downloading 38.5 GBs on Game Pass PC and around 42 GBs on my Xbox console since I don’t trust these updates so I play Black Ops 6 on different platforms, I got stuck on the Fetching Online Profile page. This is one of those messages you receive on the screen when the game’s trying to boot up before you’re in the CoD HQ, and it’s driving everyone crazy right now. And yes, it’s happened to me on both platforms + Steam.

I’ve tried investigating the issue and testing different stuff to come up with a fix by updating my Nvidia driver or repairing the game files. None of them worked, sadly. But, the closest I could get with the users’ comments on Reddit was by logging out of my account, logging in with another one, playing the game, and then logging back into my regular profile. It worked for a match, and then it got broken again, so, no fix for us today, fellow gamers.
This has gone so out of hand with the Seasonal updates that actually break the game at launch, making the pre-download benefit absolute nonsense. I remember once getting all my account’s guns and equipment emptied after one of the MW3 seasonal updates, and that was a nightmare. Now, it’s been more than eight hours since the Black Ops 6 Season 2 Reloaded update’s release, and the game is still broken.
The only update in this regard is the Call of Duty Updates post on X stating that they’re “investigating an issue where some players can become stuck on the Fetching Online Profile screen.” Thank you very much, and we’re out of the game for god knows how long.
