Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has just released its trailer for The Haunting of Verdansk event, and boy is there a lot to unpack!
SAW & Leatherface
SAW and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre bundles seem to be headlining the update. You have the option of purchasing one or both of these packs when the update launches tonight. The SAW bundle will feature a Billy the Puppet skin and a new throwing knife that will undoubtedly bleed your victims like a stuck pig. There will also be two SAW themed blueprint weapons, a Cargo Truck skin, and a Tricycle Charm.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre bundle features a skin for the cannibalistic serial killer, Leatherface. There’s also an LMG blueprint that comes with a unique Stock attachment that allows Leatherface to wield the gun like his traditional chainsaw. Further included are other gun blueprints, a special vehicle horn, and several other Texas Chainsaw Massacre themed items. However, the most interesting addition might just be a blueprint that will turn your secondary weapon into a brutal hammer.
Keep in mind that these two downright terrifying staples of Halloween might not be the only additions to the store over the next few weeks. Dr. Karlov, a Verdansk urban legend, is also looking to enter the Warzone along with a Ghost Grim Reaper skin.
Spooky Warzone Updates
Warzone will be adding a nighttime infiltration mode where operators will be dropping into a spookier version of Verdansk. There are even rumors that there will be a plethora of jump scares that may occur throughout your operation. You will have to wait until tonight to confirm these rumors. However, the trailer seems to hint at many opportunities for solid jump scares.
There will now be Trick or Treat supply boxes stationed throughout the map. As you may have guessed, these boxes will either contain a trick or a treat. While you have the chance of receiving some wonderful treats like blueprints, charms, stickers, and more, you will also have the chance of getting quite the scare, so consider yourself warned.
For a limited time, this new game mode will forgo the Gulag and turn dead players into the undead. Once killed, you will be reanimated as a powerful zombie. Forget what you remember about previous COD zombie modes, as these undead have supernatural abilities such as thermal vision, increased speed, and improved jumps. If you thought surviving the Warzone was difficult before, just wait for this added challenge of powerful zombies. Tired of playing as the zombie? Each dead player will drop a syringe, picking up two syringes as a zombie will allow you to drop back into the game as your operative.

There is no doubt that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is bringing its A-game with The Haunting of Verdansk. This update will be packed to the brim with terrifying, unique, and fun content. Good luck getting more treats than tricks, and watch out for the sound of chainsaws or maniacal laughter.
