As some of you might be aware, the Tokyo Game Show is the next big gaming expo on the Horizon. Thus, game studios are starting to publish their game lineups for the event. And Capcom has now done just that, giving us the list of what will be playable at the event.
- Monster Hunter Spirits (Arcade) – Playable
- Monster Hunter Stories (3DS) – Playable, Stage Event, Live Stream – Visit the theater booth to see the opening movie and a special video you won’t see elsewhere.
- Resident Evil 7: biohazard (PS4, PSVR, XBO, PC) – Playable (PS4, PSVR), Stage Event, Live Stream – The latest demo will make its first debut in Japan.
- Toraware no Palm (iOS, Android) – Playable, Stage Event
In other words, Capcom is giving attendees a balanced mix of games. First of all, there’s Monster Hunter Spirits, a card-based arcade spin-off of Monster Hunter. Created because the big C wanted to expand Monster Hunter’s appeal to younger players. Rather like a lot of games, Spirits never saw the light of day outside Japan.
In addition, there is a game from the second most popular monster hunting series on a Nintendo handheld. Because the latest entry from the main Monster Hunter series will be getting plenty of love.
Probably the most anticipated game in the lineup is Resident Evil 7. Because the first demo completely shook up the gameplay of the series interest is peaked. So it’s not surprising that Capcom is shining so much spotlight on it.
As you can see above, there are several mentions of live streams. The big C will be live streaming from the show floor September 15 from 20:00 JST, and September 17 and 18 from 10:00 to 17:00 each day.
