However, the country music queen is said to be putting her foot down about one issue that has her totally grossed out when it comes to her daily life with the former professional hockey player. The issue may not make or break for their marriage. However, it is something that the singer is said to be fuming about.
According to Radar Online, Carrie Underwood is unhappy with the daily diet of her husband, Mike Fisher. While the American Idol alum reportedly tries to eat organic and plant-based, the same can’t be said for the retired athlete. Instead, he’s allegedly clashing with his famous wife as she tries to steer their family into a vegetarian lifestyle. However, he’s said to refuse to give up eating meat.
Underwood has reportedly been enjoying a meat-free diet since she was a young teenager. She reportedly witnessed how some of the animals on her family farm were treated and decided that she didn’t want to eat animal products. Since then, she’s said to have a strict plant-based diet. However, she doesn’t consider herself a vegan. Instead, she’s admitted that she’s a “wannabe vegan,” although she doesn’t quite qualify, per MSN.
Carrie’s plant-based lifestyle includes growing her own vegetables at her Nashville home. She reportedly keeps bees on the property as well. However, her beliefs haven’t spilled over to her husband. Mike is said to be the kind of guy who enjoys eating meat and allegedly doesn’t want to give that up for his wife.

Meanwhile, the house is seemingly divided as Underwood is devoted to feeding her family, which includes two sons, Isaiah and Jacob, plant-based food. Unfortunately, the singer is said to feel sick whenever she smells Fisher cooking meat.
“She’s tried to get Mike to eat more salads and meat-alternative foods, but he’s a die-hard meat lover,” an insider dished. “She’s very picky about what their boys eat. She’d like to steer the whole family to eat more veggies and plant-based foods, but it hasn’t been easy. Mike is stubbornly refusing to change, and she’s none too happy about it because the smell of Mike’s steak searing in the pan makes her nauseated.”
However, one thing that Underwood and Fisher do appear to agree on is politics. The singer recently appeared at the inauguration of Donald Trump and wowed fans with her rendition of America The Beautiful. Of course, Fisher was there to support her.
Many fans spoke out in disapproval of Underwood’s decision to support Trump. However, the backlash didn’t stop the songstress from belting out the tune at the event.
