The country music superstar got her start as a contestant on the reality singing competition series. So, she’s come full circle in her career. However, one person who’s not loving her time on the show is her husband, Mike Fisher, who is reportedly fuming over her flirty on-set relationship with the show’s host, Ryan Seacrest.
According to Radar Online, Mike Fisher is unhappy about the way that Ryan Seacrest fawns all over his wife. Sources claim that the media personality is a big fan of Carrie Underwood and is often seen by her side behind the scenes.
When Katy Perry quit her judging gig on American Idol last year, it was Seacrest who reportedly convinced production that Underwood would be a great fit for the role. Because they have a long history together, Ryan reportedly has a special bond with Carrie, despite her husband’s disapproval.

“Ryan’s always been fond of Carrie – ever since she competed on American Idol 20 years ago. He thinks she’s extremely talented, and he’s proud of the success she’s had,” an insider dished.
The source went on to claim that Seacrest would “never dream of crossing the line” with Underwood. However, Fisher still feels “threatened” by their close relationship.
“He can see for himself that Ryan’s swooning over her and doesn’t like it at all. And the fact that Carrie can’t stop talking about the guy is enough to get his dander up,” the informant stated.
Meanwhile, Carrie allegedly looks at Ryan as a brother and “rolls her eyes” whenever Mike goes off about their relationship. She doesn’t see Seacrest in a romantic way, and is said to be happy to have someone on her side when it comes to working on the show.
Now, Underwood is allegedly in an “awkward position.” She values her job on American Idol but doesn’t want to be disrespectful toward her husband of nearly 15 years. However, she knows that she’s done nothing to be ashamed of and wants Mike to stop worrying. Although, if things get any more tense, Fisher is allegedly unafraid to confront Seacrest about the situation.
It looks like Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher may need to figure some things out when it comes to Ryan Seacrest. However, the singer allegedly has no romantic feelings toward her on-set pal.
