This season of Selling Sunset has shown how Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim moved on from their once hot and heavy relationship. But as the season came to a close and the reunion trailer was released, fans noticed that the relationship is very much a talking point to be addressed.
During season 7, we see Chrishell and Jason both settling into life with their new partners after the pair called it quits in late 2021 after five months of dating. Jason’s desire for Chrishell and his new girlfriend, Marie-Lou Nurk, to get along ended up causing more friction among the three.
What happened in the Selling Sunset reunion trailer?
The trailer gave viewers a lot to react to, with Marie Lou saying, “Chrishell was only a topic on-camera,” seemingly to the shock of everyone else in the room.
Later in the reunion trailer, host Tan France asks Jason if he’s still in love with Chrishell, to which he takes a deep breath. The rest of the cast reacts with shocked faces. Fans believe there are still plenty of feelings there. Still, we have to wait to see how the real estate magnate handles the sticky situation.
What happened between Chrishell and Jason — and Marie Lou — this season makes the remark even more confusing.
The argument is contrary to the season’s action, which shows a lot of concern on Jason’s end about friction between the women.
Marie Lou, 25, lamented Chrishell not reciprocating her Instagram add and being friendly “only in front of Jason.”
Chrishell, in turn, claims to have knowledge that Marie Lou is uncomfortable with her proximity to Jason. Given their status as recent exes, Chrishell tries to be understanding and tread lightly. The 42-year-old actress seems happy to step back and keep things professional with Jason, who seems to want more of a friendship than a professional relationship.
Agents and Marie Lou alike speculate about residual feelings between Chrishell and Jason. Meanwhile, the former soap star is focused on her relationship with G-Flip. In fact, the two quietly marry in Las Vegas during the season’s drama.
