John Legend’s wife, Chrissy Teigen, realizes a colonoscopy was not as dreadful as she anticipated after completing the routine medical procedure. Fans of Chrissy Teigen have watched her dread the moment the camera goes “up her butthole” for hours. The new mom announced her plans to undergo a colonoscopy on her doctor’s advice early on Tuesday via her Instagram stories. At the time, she admitted her doctor advised her to undergo the process, as more younger people were coming down with colon cancer by the day.
Since the announcement, Chrissy has kept fans updated on every grueling moment of the journey leading up to the colonoscopy. She has also told her fans how much she dreaded the procedure, or at least the process involved in getting her checked.
Chrissy Teigen Undergoes First Colonoscopy Procedure
Thankfully, things turned out better than she anticipated. Taking to her Instagram stories once again, the mom of four shared a video of herself lying on a hospital bed, with her makeup-free face looking fatigued. In the video, Chrissy announced she had just woken up after undergoing her colonoscopy, which took only twenty minutes, shorter than she’d hoped. She quipped,
“I just woke up from my colonoscopy, which took about twenty minutes. I honestly wish it took longer because that was a good nap.”
Chrissy Teigen, who recently welcomed her fourth child with John Legend via surrogacy, shared no further detail about the routine medical procedure in the 10 seconds clip. Before the procedure, Chrissy gave fans regular updates, sharing her rioting emotions, fears, and grueling preparatory phase. In previous videos shared Tuesday, she revealed she had to take a handful of colon cleanse pills the night before and drink lots of water. The procedure also required her to avoid solid foods and stick to only clear liquids and Jel-O with no color.
Additionally, she admitted the preparatory phase came with lots of cramping, which she needed to endure. She also stated how hungry she was, having eaten nothing all day, listing out everything she craved for. Chrissy Teigen shared her last update just before going in for the colonoscopy procedure at UCLA medical center.
Thankfully, it all worked out well for Chrissy, who braved the routine checkup like a champ while letting fans in on her journey. It appears the cameras weren’t so bad after all!
