Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time releases its new gameplay video and trust us, it is as exciting as its trailer. A month and a half after its official announcement, one of the PlayStation 1‘s most loved marsupials is ready to kick some evil scientist’s butt. Called Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, it is really about time that Crash crashes the party after more than a decade of hiatus. A direct sequel to Crash Bandicoot Warped, its story starts after the evil scientists broke out of their interdimensional prison and plan to conquer not just one, but all dimensions.
Of course, Crash and Coco, together with Aku-Aku are there to save the day. The game picks up from one of the most memorable parts of the game, where it all started, N. Sanity Beach. Now aside from the classic jumping, slide attack, spin punch, and the like, Crash Bandicoot 4 added a few moves in the game. You will now see your characters do a wall run, rope swing, rail run, and zip line. They also added a new way to play the game called N. Verted.
Wait, what’s N. Verted? It’s a whole different landscape that lets you collect bumpa-berries, instead of the usual wumpa-berries to collect more rewards. With locations in “inverted” color, you will also get to play it in mirror mode for another perspective. Some dimensions may be on neon colors, while others may ask you to spin and paint your path.
And guess who’s coming out of retirement? Dingodile. Yes, you can get to play him in Crash Bandicoot 4. His story will start upon seeing his own diner destroyed and him being sucked into another dimension. Aside from him, Neo Cortex is also available to play. These two are excited to give their own viewpoint and provide you with new gameplay.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is now accepting pre-orders at $59.99 and its release date is on October 2nd, 2020. It will be made available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X. It is being published by Activision and developed by Toys for Bob.
