Cris Tales is a highly-anticipated RPG coming in 2021, developed by Dreams Uncorporated, and SYCK. The title allows players to wield time as their ultimate weapon. While the four kingdoms do exist, they will still need help getting true freedom. Will you correct the mistakes of the past or will you lead the kingdoms to ruin? Gaze into the past, present, and future as you make your decisions.

Cris Tales - Extended Gameplay Overview

One of the biggest things we see is how the protagonist sees time. While she can see into the past, present, and future, this is all simultaneous. Not only does Crisbell see the environment, but the artifacts and people are also changed by her perception. Developers were able to do this because everything was designed three different times. This is how they maintained the aesthetic of past, present, and future in Cris Tales.

Additionally, some elements of Cris Tales were designed even further. This was to show the freedom and consequences of the choices available to you. When the past must be examined, it is Matias the Frog who must take charge. The same is true for trying to gain things stuck in the future. He can find items that are otherwise unattainable. And depending on the mission, it may require speaking to other people to solve the problem.

Certain decisions will appear minute and insignificant. But when you make one, you will eventually see the ripples throughout the game. Take care to weigh the gravity of those decisions. Some may affect a whole region or an entire kingdom. Will you be satisfied with the results of your choices? Or will your choices doom the world that you explore? Check out the full development build trailer here.
