Amazon’s been busy making a ton of new games behind the scenes, but one of those games is nearly ready to release. Crucible, their PvP and PvE shooter, is looking to release later this month actually. Starting May 20th, players will be able to hop into the game and experience everything Crucible has to offer. This includes several modes, plenty of playable characters, and distinct environments. The game is free-to-play and is releasing exclusively on Steam. You can wishlist the game now if you want to be notified the moment the game is available. Amazon took to Crucible’s various social media to announce the release date and feature a new trailer.

Crucible

Crucible has you as part of a squad of agents, each agent from distinct parts of the galaxy. As you drop into the match, it’s your goal to take out the opposing team. They’re not your only threat though, as the natural wildlife aren’t liking the invasion of their home. You and your teammates will have to work together in order to survive the harsh fauna and hostile agents if you are to come out on top. Do you have what it takes to come out on top in Crucible? Starting on May 20th, you’ll be able to find out.

Crucible

At launch, Crucible will provide you with three distinct modes to try. Heart of the Hives will have two teams of four face off to take down giant hives and collect three hearts first. Alpha Hunters will be your standard PvP mode, putting you and another squad against one another to see which team survives. And finally, Harvester Command has both teams competing for control of several Harvesters all over the map. Overall, Amazon’s shooter promises to offer tons of distinct ways to play and should be a lot of fun. With it being free-to-play too, there’s basically nothing to lose.

Will you be trying out Crucible when it releases in a few weeks? Anything that stands out to you already? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
