Boom Studios is going the distance with Damn Them All. The original series from The Walking Dead collaborator Charlie Adler and writer Si Spurrier is getting upgraded to an ongoing series. This news comes after the publisher’s presentation at ComicsPro’s Annual Meeting. Damn Them All joins Briar in snagging a series upgrade.
Damn Them All
The Boom Studios comic follows Ellie “Bloody Hell” Hawthorne, an occultist-for-hire. After the death of her infamous magician and occult detective uncle, the 72 devils of the Ars Goetia are mysteriously released. Now, Ellie must track them down and damn them back to the hell they came from. She must use all the tools in her arsenal, like holy water, conjuration, or her trusty, rusty claw hammer!
Damn Them All comes from the mind of Si Spurrier and Charlie Adlard. Adlard is best-known as Robert Kirkman’s artistic partner on the mega-hit The Walking Dead. This is their first original series since that comic ended back in 2019. Meanwhile, the Boom Studios comic also marks the biggest creator owned launch for Spurrier.
Perfect Timing
It is no surprise that Damn Them All is upgrading to an ongoing series. The comic has had numerous sell-outs and second printings since its debut. It doesn’t hurt to have some of the biggest names in comics working on it either. With The Walking Dead officially over, British artist and illustrator Charlie Adlard was ready for the next big thing. He tells Boom Studios that he has wanted to work with both Boom and Si “for ages.” Thankfully, everything aligned for this “perfect book” to be made.
Meanwhile, Eisner Award nominee Simon “Si” Spurrier has built quite a reputation in the world of comics. Having worked on big titles like X-Men and Suicide Squad, he is now making a splash in the creator-owned projects pool. Damn Them All joins his Alienated, Coda, The Spire, and Six–Gun Gorilla at Boom Studios.
