There was a time when Dave Grohl appeared to have it all: a successful career, a loving wife, and a beautiful family. But the perfect facade came crumbling down earlier this month when he released a statement informing fans that he had fathered a child with someone who wasn’t his wife of over 20 years, Jordyn Blum.
The statement shared on Instagram read: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
Of course, this came as a shock to many, but not to everyone! The musician’s ex-girlfriend, Kari Wuhrer, was reportedly unsurprised to hear he had cheated. According to TMZ, Wuhrer claimed there had been “rumblings” about Grohl’s infidelity for years. She also claims that when he first expressed interest in her, he was dating Tina Basich.

TMZ notes how Wuhrer found out about Tina after she phoned The Howard Stern Show to “vent” about her relationship with Grohl. “I was letting the cat out of the bag … I never heard about her. He never spoke of it,” she said. Tina would break up with Grohl, and his relationship with Wuhrer also ended as she claims he ghosted her.
And when they did see each other in public, she said: “He would just look at me like I didn’t exist. I just felt like I knew he was scumbag after that.” Scathing remarks from someone he dated in the 90s, and the timing of her comments coincide with a post she made on Instagram.
“Let’s talk about marriage vows. They are not legally binding,” she wrote. “They are morally binding. Or whatever. We may even try our best. But if my life has taught me one thing: Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. You decide how to interpret that.”
But all eyes are not on what Wuhrer has to say but rather Blum’s next moves, and it has been reported that she has been seen without her wedding ring.
